I for one have never worried about the future of the park, until this season.
Rattlesnake is still stood, and Tide Traveller has now joined in. In the entire of PWH history, has there ever been major rides just sat there part dismantled? If they can't afford to look after the basic appearance of the park, what can they afford?
There won't ever be a huge ride like a woodie, residents would go mad with or without the relaxed conditions the park has. All these bad reviews will just stop people going. Full stop. I suspect the park is held up by the others in the group. Something major would have to change to ever get the local folk back in which is key for the park.
Anyone know what jobs Adam Noble had before taking over the park, this will give us a clue if he is up to the job with help.
The park would be better if they had Christine's Tearooms back, this was good for family's that did not want to be with thair children when on the rides.
I wouldn't necessarily judge Mr Noble by what his previous job was. He's made some good improvements around the park, I just think he's being held back by the powers that be.
Just had a browse of the new website, few things to note:
- 4pm closing has been changed to "closing time will be advertised at the park". Could this mean earlier closing than 4pm?!
- Kids Zone is now "Heart Kids Zone".... my first thought was the radio station, but there's no mention of it anywhere.
- Roosters is on Main Street, obviously that little counter at the end.
- Season Pass holders get 20% off food and merchandise.
- Play area to be called Woody's Club House. I like it, it's cute. Play area is also to house a sensory room. Work is due to start in May and will be open in June.
- Ride Status page needs updating, still has TTT on it and says it's open...

The new site looks good, it presents the park in a very positive light. I think they have given themselves more hassle than they need to with the Ride Status page, as Martyn says, it's already out of date.
The scrolling ticker at the top of the page would probably be the quickest and easiest way to update the site with ride closures, if they felt inclined to.
Well, I take it all back... it would appear that the park are using the ride status page to full effect. Tide traveller has been removed and Fireball is listed as closed today.
Was being tested and worked on 2.30 onwards. Little swings. Red car still on marble and if you go down to the woods today you sure of a surprise in terms of a planning application. Note the hours.....
Odd planning application.... Maybe for future shows?
Doesn't make much sense, it almost implies that everything bar rides will run till 22.00 hours subject to approval. It will certainly be to do with the castle revamp
The park is reported as looking tired? what did they do over the closed winter period? lots more bad feedback on tripadvisor, this all sounds like a cashflow problem, it is no good having advertising that makes the park look good if when visitors get to the park and find it rundown and lots of rides braking down will not give a good impression and want to come back, and especially if food is expensive and difficult to obtain for families.
Sorry to be negative again, but what is the point in having a theme park if investments are limited by locals? I can understand not wanting to have noise pollution but its kind of counter productive to have so many complaints because PWH is such a large job provider and economic stimulus for the area? I don't really see how the noise is that bad. You cant really hear wipeout from Tesco (although you could sometimes hear rattlesnake) but I can't really imagine the noise being much louder in Corton etc. due to the trees. If I'm wrong and noise is an issue in those areas, surely measures could still be taken to reduce noise? Look what Phantasialand have managed despite their proximity to houses.
I could hear rattlesnake very clearly and much further away than you think. There is no way they will operate rides in the dark or evenings there. Perhaps maybe just the odd one. It needs locals to get on board and most local families only have one opinion of the place
Maybe they need to be reminded when the parked opened and how many people are employed by the park.... there's plenty of houses dead opposite GYPB and that stays open late through out the year!
And Rattlesnake was an exceptionally loud ride, there is nothing on the park that even comes close to it.
That’s not a planning application it’s notice of an application to change a premises license. Which would imply shows and alcohol rather than rides as a premises license is what you need to sell alcohol on a site.

Not much, when i was working there i was told once season ends everyone buggers off for a few months and nothing gets done till after Christmas, then there's a a mad dash to get thongs ready and left to the last minute. There was a company who would repair/fibreglass the log flume carts and he told me Pleasurebeach send them the carts soon as season ends which gives them plenty of time to sort them out while the hills will contact them weeks before they open and he as to rush and fix them on site.
the park has always been like this.

Anyway, someone was asking about a red car on MM.. i saw it on some recent youtube footage.. it's just been painted red instead of yellow, still has a silly face on it.. maybe it needed painting and they ran out of yellow? or decided to change the colours up a bit.. i like it.
Appears to be Arcade machine next to The Target Trail, i guess were the old Hobs queue line use to be.

****This is pretty much what happens yes and the planning application I found is really only going to be for liqueor purposes and a evening show in the castle at the most id say

When people said a red car on MM i was worried one had broken down and maybe they just added some random cart for now but it looks like it's been painted that way deliberately.
