It's just a wild mouse coaster, doesn't really need it. I mean, It would be great if they did, but there's a giant list of things I'd like to see get done before MM gets themed.

Reviews on Trip Adviser continue to appear;

There seems to be no middle ground with people at the moment. They describe either ''an amazing day out'' or ''the worst day out ever''.

I hope the park are brave enough to reintroduce the review option on Facebook.

The manics post on the castle theatre has led to yet more bad comments

It just goes to show what power the phrase "new ride" can hold.

The park is currently going through the oddest era I've ever known. No investment in rides, but new restaurants galore and upcharge entertainment. That planning notice thing blatantly points to them using the theatre at night. I really don't understand why they can't just concentrate on their day time offerings, coz at the moment it's not good enough and guests can see that.

Have we ever had 2 main rides just sitting there, half removed?

The Log Flume has apparently had a repaint. I don't recall it ever looking that bad? Surely there's other jobs that shoyld be more of a priority to that?

Marble Madness only has 3 trains. 4 years ago it had 5. So I guess they're butchering the trains like they did with Cannonball back in the day.

they want more food outlets and extra charge Theater shows to try and make more money.. i suspect rides are slowly being phased out, wont be long before it's free entry and to pay for everything lol

The "Annual Report and Financial Statements" for Pleasurewood Hills are now listed online. Would anyone (with a better understanding of such things than I) like to take a look?

Try this one for size... beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/03969399/filing-history

Then click the pdf from March 2018.

I wouldn't read too much into the stuff that gets published on Companies House to be honest. The accounts that are required to be published by law never really equate to what a company is really/really not making. It's a very simplified version of very complicated figures.

So am the right in thinking that the entrance fee has dropped for this year?

It was £22 last year, and I've seen somewhere that it says it's £20 to get in, plus Matt shared an imagine on the unofficial page to a link for £5 off entry, making it it £15....

Standard online price is £20. The current online offer is £5 the online price.

On the gate, it's £22.

Omg that's insane. World's first restaurant to close after 2 weeks for a refit... I do wish they'd spend this sort of money on the rides ;)

The decor was very basic, generic and almost clinical. It was clean and tidy but just very boring. Maybe it is have a themed makeover which would make it more appealing.

PWH:

It just doesn’t look like a theme park food outlet - there’s nothing special about it.

Thanks for sharing Josh. Fingers crossed for something more interesting. However, I think the main objective is to improve the food preparation area.

Makes sense - I think some reviews have said that the food runs out very quickly so maybe an update to capacity. Didn’t affect us when we went at Xmas as there was only us and one other family eating.

For me it’s the suspended ceiling - it just makes the place look like a community centre or something like that.

Don’t get me wrong though. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. The food was very tasty and the staff were happy to cater to my daughter’s love of plain pasta as they made her some from fresh. It’s a good outlet but just wish it had that something special you’d expect from a theme park.

Well I guess running out of food too quick means that it's popular. But I agree, it does look a bit like a community centre.

yikes, see what you mean.
Maybe it's proving to be very popular so they've decided to re-decorate. i an kind understand them keeping it simple while they test the water.

Oh well, at least PWH actually provide mostly decent customer service and don't charge 2.50 for a bottle of drink or £14 for a standard burger and chips.

Looking at the photo for the pizza & pasta the plates look small and paper cups at the cost of £12.95 vs Alton Towers large plates and glass glasses cost £12.50 and better food.

Out of interest, where there any things that stuck out as being badly managed at Alton towers? I was there on Thursday and Friday on the week after easter and while it very warm on both days it was surprisingly very quiet. Nemesis never had more than a 5 minute queue and had 2 trains while running 50 second dispatches, the dark rides where empty & the smiler never had above a 20 minute wait and had 3 trains on. However, I was pretty p****d off by how they managed the wicker man early ride time for people booked in the hotel because for one, it was more of an 'early queue time'. They had us queue down a side path and then when the ride opened (late) they allowed us in the queue and the entry merge was a prime opportunity for queue jumpers (and the staff didn't seem to care). They where also running dispatches of more than 3 minutes, then had the cheek to let fast track people get on before the people who had paid to stay in the hotels. Also, oblivion, while on 4 trains, had trains being filled totally with fast track people and no effort was being made to fill in empty seats (of which there where many). It wasn't being dispatched for close to 5 minutes at times leaving people baking in the heat on the brake run. The skyride was closed well after the time it was supposed to open, the frog fountains where not working, rita was closed the whole time (although its no big loss) and Galactica was having issues with the seats rotating back to an upright position and even after successfully testing multiple times throughout the day (even after we had been chucked off) they never opened it. The closure of rita made the queue for th13teen ridiculous and the rapids where operating with multiple empty rafts and rafts with as little as 2 people in them. Wicker man also suffered from multiple occurrences of downtime.mad
