Just been watching another vlog that was done recently, interesting to see that the Cannonball Express now has music by the entrance, and Timber Falls has had it's queue line and exit swapped around. Now seems an odd one to me as the exit path would definitely seem smaller than the old main queue, and Timber Falls is certainly a popular ride!
One worrying aspect about my visit last Saturday, was just how quiet the park was. There seemed to be a few people about, but we didn't queue for anything.
A Saturday in the summer holidays, good weather, and the park was still very quiet.
Can you remember a couple of years ago, the photo of the hugeTimber Falls queue posted on Facebook? Whats happened? :'(
I think crowds are mega variable. When I went in June it took a good 15 minutes to get on wipeout because of the queue (sunny day, weekend and the rest of the park was rammed as well). It was the same story in 2014 and 15 the summer was rammed every day I went (must have been 4 or 5 times) when enigma's queue was out of the ride entrance at one point. Then, by contrast, on a reasonably nice day last summer (clear forecast) it was really, really dead (probably not even 150 people in the whole park). It could just be variability but could also be a fall in visitors (of which I can't really comment on because I haven't visited PWH that much this year).

marble madness contriubuted to that very busy picture posted that day
Lowestdot Journal has posted an article on PWH, talking to Adam Noble about the future etc. Nothing we don't already know, Christmas show and new indoor play area. BUT, my word I didn't expect him to look as young as he does.
But in general, PWH did have a lot more catering outlets than they needed.
I think the balance is now right, although that back area of the park could still do with something purely so people don t have to walk too far. Even just a small counter would do.

yes for the numbers they have now, yet late 80s early 90s they needed it, had hungry bears then too
There are a lot of people jumping on the ''I'm totally disgusted'' bandwagon with presumably only one side of the story to hand. In any case, it's not great PR for the park.
The park have just posted a message on their own Facebook page in an effort to smooth things over.
Yes just been reading it. Really taking some stick this season the park is. And it's all down to social Media. Sadly mud sticks too so many won't go after reading this out of principle etc. I mean would a manager really say that....?
We don't know the full story, it's as simple as that! I struggle to understand how other people can get so angry, so quickly, without knowing all the facts.
If the staff members dealt with the lady in a rude, unhelpful way, then that is obviously not good. But equally, we don't know how the lady dealt with the situation.
You only have to read the first half of what she wrote to realise that she's just attention seeking. Funny how there always seems to be a disabled child involved and they always seem to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown. PWH staff have always been anything but rude in recent years, so I really don't believe any of it. She didn't get her own way and can't handle it. That's how I see it anyway.
If I were PWH I'd be on to Facebook about taking that post down, can't it be considered as slander? What did the park post on Facebook Matt? I guess it's been deleted as I can't find anything.
In a sort of related story, this is exactly why I hate Facebook. So many ignorant people. I hate seeing the posts like "this man kicked my dog outside Tesco, please share to make everyone aware".... sorry where's the proof of that? People have been known to do things like that as pranks, but they soon turn sour when someone is getting abuse as they walk down the street. So many people fall for it and share it and before you know it, it's become viral. Same goes for the absolute morons who type "amen" to save the baby with no arms, no legs and no head.

The park did post an image of a hand written note from ''Woody'' saying that ''he'' wanted to make it up to the little boy. More angry rants from people followed before the post was totally removed.
I have heard of other organisations treating people/kids with disables in a horrible way, especially those who may play up a bit, so this kind of thing does happen. But how much of that story has been embellished who knows.. and reading she turns down his apology to me just screams of someone wanting to create drama... although the park have kinda acknowledged they were wrong.
It's easy to say they should have just let it slide, but a line has to be drawn... the fact she did have a season pass would be enough for me to let it slide that once.

I have been dipping in and out recently so have not seen everything in regards to this. I first saw the handwritten note on Facebook the other night and was confused as to what it was about - however it to me didn't shed the park in a good light; the sentiment was there but it came across as a bit haphazard and forced. After it was taken down I thought nothing more of it until I spotted the post on here and as you rightly put it Matt we only (as you tend to do with Facebook) one side of the story.
What has really wound me up is the slanderous abuse that has come from one of the commenters on Facebook - I just cannot believe that someone could be so disgusting and get backed up by other people. Of course we don't get to see both sides of the story but it doesn't do the park any favours that this stuff is being said.
They could well have (and probably should have) let it go but I can kind of understand the parks position, especially that held initially by the employee at the entrance (who wouldn't have been in a position to allow or disallow entry). And god, what a bunch of asinine people some of the commenters are. 'Oh no, something bad happened to another person, I'd better show my support for them because then I can show just how good of a person I am!' (even though you probably have no clue what actually happened and how actual events may have differed from the account that you are reading).
I can confirm that I was in the vicinity when it happened- she started screaming and shouting hysterically and waving her hands around shouting "it was disgusting"...he was also WELL over a metre and so should have paid. She at no stage offered to pay, just kicked off immediately. What she's said on her post and the truth are two different things, but then...Facebook, you know?!
Thank you for giving us the other side of the story, Ronnie.
Having read through the comments and seeing the overly aggressive messages from some of her facebook friends, I do feel more inclined to believe this version of events.
