Such a shame, as money WAS being pumped in at first when the new owners first bought the park but this year it's just being left to rot.
The crappy snake was down all day, No idea why no one working on it. Tide Traveller was still spinning on start, then the gondolas stopped spinning and it just slung you round at speed which was incredibly uncomfortable. Not fixed. Engima was down for most of the day, but up by the end and seemed to be working as expected though as usual only one train.
This year just felt terrible, the age of the rides is really showing through, the once silky smooth Kite Flyer is now incredibly juddery and bumpy. The pirate ship is swinging nowhere near as high as it used to. Oh and don't get me started on Hobbs Pit, I didn't go on it when it was new but went this time and it was rubbish. No actors in the ride, only one leading you from the entrance to the car. and half the effects weren't even working! Hyper drive was god awful too, the operator kept having to intervene as full lock doesn't make the cars reverse! So he had to unpluck us from pile ups...
DISAPPOINTING! Spend some money frenchies, or just give up.
One GOOD point is the waveswinger is very good, but I cannot help feeling they could have just re-themed the original ride. Seemed pointless to remove it, They seem to leave everything thats older (including landscaping) to rot, moan about it, then replace it with something not quite as good...

if you believe in whispers and facebook comments then rattlesnake is being dismantled and shipped to china i think it said ! lol... its waiting for a part im sure. I biked past Monday afternoon and all was in operation from what I saw minus snake.
The new swinger is vastly impressive compared to the wooden one we had before
I won't be happy if they sell off the snake.. what would be the point?
Hardly enough quality rides as it is at the park. The Snake just needs a proper refub like Enigma.

Went to the park for the first time in a long time today.
Rattlesnake is being boarded up and doesn't look like it will reopen anytime soon, or at all. The boarding is mostly up, with a few painted boards laid on top of the coaster itself, which look ready to put up. Grass is overgrown too.
The park is so run down it's unreal. Here's a list of things I noticed...
Enigma, running on 1 train. May have gone down for a short period or possibly just had no queue. Theming is non existant.
Large train, Green Locomotive attached to 3 red coaches. I assume this means the Red locomotive and green coaches are no longer used. Green Locomotive false wheels and pistons weren't moving.
No water features working around the park, part empty pools with pumps dumped on the edges.
Pleasurewood Paddlers, only 1 boat in operation.
Timber Falls, only operating on 3 logs (2,4, & 5 for those interested).
Hyper Drive, at least 5 cars out of use in the centre of the ride.
The Tide Traveller, it's difficult to even call this a ride in it's current state. 2 out of 3 elements not working, pointless, why is it even open.
Wipeout went down for a short time, it reopened later after a few unloaded test runs.
Chairlift, has this been slowed down a lot or is the motor on it's way out? It would've been quicker to walk.
Fireball and Jolly Roger have zero theming and have been simply plonked in place. (good rides, but it's a theme park, not a fairground).
Miniature Railway, used to have a nice Amtrak theming, now the coaches are plain green and the locomotive looks like a diesel engine in a box with a seat. Would a fibreglass moulded cover break the bank?
Hedges around both railway lines need cutting back.
Everything looks like it has been pared to the bone. I would rather have paid £30 to get in and had everything working. I have a lot of fond memories from PWH as a youngster, today's visit was sad.
That being said, all the staff were perfectly pleasant, though not exactly rushed off their feet with a mass of customers, a shame, a real shame.
whats up with the Pleasurewood Paddlers ? one boat really...
I guess the price increased in expected, min wage has been increased so they gotta cover that.
Plus with all the broken rides and rides no working anymore they need all the money they can get.
Park has had a huge crash, it's not like it's slowly gone downhill, it feels it's happened over night, pretty much the moment new manager came in, that was the turning point i hope they can survive and pick themselves up and start thinking big again.

If they change the cars they could turn it into an old skool twister, i wonder if that's possible, and maybe more cost effective than replacing the whole ride. They should consider it.
