BBC look East just showed wipe out stuck, it reports for approx 30mins with a viewer photo showing it "stuck" just after the station I assume going backwards ready to be launched. A non story for the television yet with the smiler now anything will hit the news. People on board were given hot drinks and blankets
It's a slow day for news to report wipeout my BBC Suffolk shows the picture of the train stuck as it was being hauled up. A non story. Like Xmas news people are desperate for stories
"ANNOUNCEMENT UPDATE!
After careful consideration Pleasurewood Hills will not open on Monday 28 March due to the high winds forecast. This decision has been made with public safety in mind and the disruption the high winds may cause.
We will reopen on Tuesday 29 March as usual from 10 - 5pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused."
"What a shame pleasurewoodhills staff didn't look after us after we got stuck on a ride with the children. It stopped after a load of smoke started to fill the tunnel when the carriage had jolted to a stop. The staff of the ride didn't alert us what was happening, no word of "don't panic" he had to take instruction from a passenger of the ride as to what to do. Even then , we wasn't told the carriage was to move let alone be jolted backwards to be wheeled backwards through the smoke to the start of the ride. When we did eventually get off the ride shaken we had to give our names and was told it to be a "minor blip" and that we was to "forget about it, it happens a lot" staff also told us of their suprise it "didn't break down where it usually does then" No good gesture from the staff of perhaps a drink was given. This may be minor to pleasurewoodhills hills and its Staff but completely not taken on board how this affects people in the long term. We heard this ride broke down after us again today and also other rides had broken down that we had witnessed. Pleasurewoodhills were more concerned that the rides were reopened not of how we were feeling."
Wonder if the real reason they're closing is due to breakdowns of both Wipeot and whatever other ride this was with a tunnel??

I wouldn't be surprised if the main reason they're closing is because of the heavy rain that's going to come down all day, equalling very, very low attendance numbers.
Admittedly, the wind is going to be bad tomorrow, but no worse than it was on Saturday.
Wind and rain turned out to be pretty bad today, good job that remain closed.
Wipeout always breaks down, more so at the start of the season, sounds like gusts overreacting, and young ride operators not sure how to handle the situation, make it worse it was the first or second day on the job.. just lacking experience.

Living opp the park there was no point in opening today the wind was extreme here till mid afternoon and the rain was coming down too, no point in opening and it also made Thorpe Park and Chessington close most of the morning too. As for this mystery ride with tunnel?! Can only b hobs pit or rattlesnake?! Honestly ever since smiler the most daft things have been mentioned on social media. Rides stop all the time around the world. Daily at that. New signs on leisure way entrance I noted today
I went on it at least once, but i've not been that fussed about slides, although i've always wanted the hills to get a proper helter skelter, a tall one.. that would be great.
