Been thinking about this recently. With the park and how it is right now, do you think it would be better of being independently owned, instead of being a part of a chain of parks?

Both Loopings and CdA are huge players in the theme park game, yet when it comes to PWH, yet both don't/didn't seem to care too much. Wipeout was the only significant investment from CdA in all the years they owned the park.

And whilst Loopings started with a boom in 2012-14, the last 4 season's have seen nothing noteworthy at all.

Being a part of a chain of parks can result in the focus from the parent company being elsewhere, despite a usually decent financial backing. Yet being an independent means all focus from the owner is on the park itself, not another park in another country, yet money might not be as stable.

Obviously if you go back to when the park was last independently owned (2005), it wasn't in great shape, more like a dumping ground for fair ground rides than actual theme park.

Right now, the park is in a fairly decent state, but I can't help but think that issues with the Snake would have been properly resolved being an independent park (whether that be replacing the track or just getting rid properly). TTT would have been gone and replaced already as there would be more care involved. That's how I see it anyway. I feel there would be more focus on being a theme park and attracting people right now, not coming up with shows and play areas to keep open during winter months.

The benefit of being part of a chain is security, major owners will have the hills for tax reasons and there for wont be to worried if it's not turning a profit, an Independent would need a profit, unless they already owns multiple business and again buying/using the park to off set against tax. The park will never be properly profitable and going indi would be a huge risk,  i also think you need a manager who cares and makes the best of what they've got, when they had the stand in manager that's when nothing happened at the park.. things are now happening.

Plus if they did pump loads of money into the hills would it make them money? i don't think it would, they could put in 2 new coasters and half a dozen new flats in and i honestly don't think gust numbers would change that much.

I think being part of a chain seems to be the best option for remaining open.

If pumping loads of money into the park still wouldnt make them turn a profit, then the park wouldnt be around anymore.

Unless it's part of a chain and is owned for tax purposes as i keep saying. Same reason the local grain silo is still operating.
They could spend millions on the hills.. would it get 5k visitors a day? No it wouldn't ... if it did the money would be spent.
