The non-rider tickets are great. My dad cant go on any rides as he has back problems but he loves the shows, this was a much better option.

I'm sure they will do it this year. It was trialled in September and they have carried it on so I presume they will do it next year.

Yeah, and sometimes it's a cheap afternoon.. have a ice cream and a wonder round.
Plus great for elderly who wont ride anything but enjoy watching the grand kids or something.. or whataver family unites do.

Question - Do we have to buy a ticket to the park to see the Mad Hatters Tea Party?

Well it says the Tickets don't include entry into the park, as the show is during opening hours i assume you need entry into the park.. ?? this is why i don't understand why they don't have the show when the park is closed (6pm or something) then anyone could buy a ticket.

Maybe have the park close, Tony's open for an hour then the show? You pay enough for entry, you would think the show is included!

That's ridiculous! It was meant to be open ages ago. Maybe they are focusing on a replacement for TTT

Also - New series on Netflix called Fairground Attractions. Follows the life of fairground owners. Nothing to do with PWH but thought some of you might be interested :)

I would assume the blocks don't function as they should? For instance, I have seen the train in the load station is ready for dispatch but it couldn't dispatch so I would assume that the final brakes don't stop the train as intended or something (emphasis on assume). It could be fairly easy to get 4 trains running if the track between the stations acted as a block as well as the brakes at the end maybe?

And its all well and good investing in new attractions but they have huge issues with what they already have in many cases (enigma obviously, the boarded up Tivoli, ancient cable car, trains, pirate ship, dilapidates dodgems, lighthouse which always seems broken, log flume which similarly suffers from down time so it seems an a vekoma boomerang that seemed atrocious last year). They should update and fix what they already have as well as investing in new things because its really noticeable that they don't. I should probably stop with the negativity I know.

I totally agree with you. The park has many rides that need re-themeing or a general mechanical overhaul, but it is obvious there is not enough money boosted. They need to find a balance between opening a ride and repairing another so they look like they are making progress to the general public.

Just think of all that money that was spent on TTT and Sky Hooks, and where are they both now?

The chair lift is fine, it maybe slow bit it's not an issue.

I think the Chair lift should be pulled down, it's abysmal.
I can see why they sold off sky hooks.. not need for that with a proper waveswinger.

I couldn't understand why they dumped the clown slide lol would have been alright next to the new play area, at least to would make things look less empty.

I remember that slide, they could really make that fit in near the play area well.

The chair lift is a fairly unique attraction, I would never want to see that removed.

It's rumoured that Drayton Manor have removed their chairlift, if so I believe that leaves PWH' as the last one in the UK.

No, it use to run full capacity, and it was a bit faster... used to be very popular.
If they don't dump it (which i'm certain they will do sooner than later) why don't they give it a overhaul?

Mind you, it's a bit pointless going to that other end of the park unless you want to see an abandoned rollercoaster, a dirty lake and a balloon ride which is only open in the afternoons. lol

Official site on Facebook shows woody for a mother's day competition and a poster behind him shows laser ride as the new ride, this may well be a 2017 banner yet looks like the new design I posted couple of weeks ago via the leaflet

Yeah it's new material for this year, featuring the new for 2017 ride. This isn't unusual for a park to do when a new ride opens so late in the year. PWH done this with the Magic Mouse.

However the one down side is that it shows there obviously isn't anything new this year.

The Chair Lifts are in desperate needs of an overhaul. The drop off points look disgusting and they go so so slow.

Now holding and reading the 2018 leaflet which on the front page has lasers as the new ride. New slogan too. Inside a pic of rootin rootin new target trail. Mentions Tony's pizza and says open two hours after park shuts... Interesting... Coming soon indoor play area... Family deal chicken bucket, and mentions chills event

Pleasurewood Chills with no Hobz Pit? Hopefully, they will do something with the ugly train near the bad-themed HyperDrive laughing

Again, thats a nice leaflet design. I don't think Tonys will be open after the park for long, I really can't imagine it being a huge success (after park hours that is).

There's hardly enough to do in the park to warrant leaving tea until it closes, plus how many people are there still in the park at closing time? Perhaps the summer holidays world have been an ideal time to trial it.

I just wish they would concentrate on what they offer when the park is open. What good is a restaurant staying open later if the park has lots of empty space? Same for this all year round indoor play area (who seriously would go all that way for what is likely to be a small play area?) And then there's this ticketed Easter show...

They all just seem like really strange decisions given the sitution the park is in. We're not even maintaining our ride numbers, it's decreasing every year.

By all means if you'e got a top notch park, take gambles, do something differet... But the bottom end of the park resembles a derelict theme park.....but that's ok there's an Easter show you can pay an extra £15 to watch and Tonys is open 2 hours after the park!

Will people have to pay extra for the play area? It's just going to be way too small for a all year thing but we don't know exactly yet what they're doing.

Tony being open late in the summer will be great, but spring time i can't see the park pulling in enough guests. Never seen the park busy during Easter, they have a hard job getting rides really for easter.

I guess the idea is to invest in these extra money making schemes to boost profits, but then you need a theme park that people want to visit to get the guests then before trying to take more cash off them.
Maybe they'll start doing scuba diving in the lake lol

What are they going to do with the TTT plot? Just leave the central mechanism in place so people can wonder what used to be there or realise that a ride used to be there that they couldn't be bothered to remove evidence of? It will leave a really bad impression if they don't do anything.

There is obviously plans to replace TTT with a Tempest style ride, but I guess it isn't happening anytime soon as there's no official mention of anything new for this year, other than this illusive play area.
