Well it's good to hear there's a new park manager. Although if Loopings don't care about the park, I can't see much changing.

Random question, is leaving the EU going to have any kind of affect on the park?

One effect could be more visitors as less people will travel around?

Yeah something is obviously going on! I would imagine they're lifting the boat up. We can only hope that it's going through some serious maintenance and will be running how it should be for next year!

New ride is probably a re-branded Pirate ship lol look's like they've taking the boat down.. probs due for some excessive machinate.. i suspect mostly cosmetic but maybe it's mechanical.

Yeah they do require more extensive maintenance every now and then, but not on this level. It's great to see, the pics are really cool, never seen a skeleton HUSS pirate ship before.

I think when i was on park in 2008 something was said about the boat being completed removed.. i can't recall if that happened before i joined after Christmas or the previous year. (when i arrived it was hanging again) but it rings a bell, because the chap ordered gallons of paint but in the end only the bottom half of the structure/frame was painted not the whole thing, (i remember knocking ice and rust off it) So yeah maybe it's been taking down to oil up the cogs or whatever they do

What looks like a large round white weather vain circle one is on top of wipeout on the drop backwards launch. Certainly easy to spot whatever it is. It does not face towards the ride, it's towards the lake and waveswinger

Well a update it's 22.35 and coming back on the bus through corton the white circle I mentioned earlier is all lit up. Surely it's not been done for Xmas? Bright white light circular thing on top of wipeout

Sorry update is three days late, yes still it up and yes I assume for xmas. Yet seems odd I am fairly sure it appeared after they left off for xmas and the item does not even face the Tesco drive up so you cant see it unless your walking through gunton hall or along a small piece of the a47 near gunton hall. Obviously it can be seen from further away yet people will assume its a street lamp or something

Maybe it's a security light, might be positioned to shine on the entrance?
If it was a Christmas thing i think they would have mentioned it on facebook and stuff.

it faces the lake on its side, does not face the entrance to park or Tesco. Its a star shaped thing

 

so two hours on from my post, I biked along corton long lane and in the sunshine ( ish ) and thanks to the bare trees I can confirm it is indeed a star on the top of wipeout facing the two houses/bungalows the ride looks over on the lane....
