I watched the TPW vlog from the other day, just to see what's going on at the park. Few things to note:
- Jollys backdrop is now all black with the white ride logo, it's looks better than the cheesy pirate scene IMO. Black and white fences look random, but maybe better in person I guess.
- there's a horrible pop up games stall in the middle of main street which looks really out of place, and it's huge as well!
- nice new merch in the form of mugs and t-shirts etc. I hope there's a pin badge somewhere ;)
Yeah, other than the obvious (TTT+Snake) it does look ok really.
The play area and dive show must surely have brought a bit more life to that back end of the park (would be really nice to see a Ferris Wheel in that corner where the clown slide used to reside)
I know there are still some rather odd questions that need asking about the certain aspects of the park, but 2018 is far from the worst year we've had. We got a new restaurant, indoor play area and permanent dive show arena. More new merch and new branding signs all over the park (it's all in sync for once). That plus Rootin Tootin last year and it hasn't been a bad couple of years really.
It's just really hard to ignore the fact that the Snake and TTT are still just there, abandoned and derelict, almost like they're in a closed park.
Entertainment seems to be their focus at the moment, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's rides that bring people into the park.

Yes i like the continuity there seems to now be with signage throughout, themeing within the rides areas of marble madness and cannonball wouldnt go amiss, but then yes, 2 or 3 new rides in the obvious places has to be the next logical step.. Lets hope!
I was there on Sunday just gone, it was very busy! All booths were open and we got in fairly quick from quite far back, so the queues moved quick. There were long queues to get in until at least around 11am, which was great to see.
There was long ques to get in yesterday that lasted until midday when they finally decided to open another booth. Plus with some booths boarded over and not used it was painfully slow getting in. My first time on park for a couple of years. Jolly looks nice many moaning about one car on cannonball, the mess left with TTT, rattlesnake and all around the veteran cars it's a mess too yet thats gardening. Shame to see the lake not used and the pedalos that came back now dumped behind MM. Fireball providing just the one good swing too as ever. In general operations were quite good yet most tills were slow service and many needed two people especially for drinks and snacks . I spotted two log flumes behind the sealion pen. I really hope that they can sort the TTT site and do something with the snake it looks awful. For such a busy day it was closing at 5pm which seemed mad, adverts inside saying tobys closes two hours after park closes so that should be 7pm yet on separate posters etc it said tonys shuts at 6pm today!

Pedalos broken down is one of the weirdest things. It's a Pedalo.. unless it's got a hole in the bottom or a pedal malfunction what's the issue ? lol Maybe they just don't have enough staff to open it.

The list of additional attractions for the Halloween week has been put on the main website. The usual stuff face painting and pumpkin carving plus a show in the theatre. Fireworks by the lake on the Saturday 27th
I notice that all references to the Cinderella panto at Christmas have been removed from the official site, so I guess that has been cancelled for this year.
They've been advertising for scare actors too, and put little teaser photos up of props that have been made, looks like a dragon of some sort? (Could be from the old Fairy tale Fantasy....)
So at least they're doing something for Halloween.
That Adam guy was all for the theatre, so I guess it ties in with his job role being advertised.
limited firework advertising as usual in this Halloween adverts and promotion, I assume Halloween week still goes into the next years budget and turn over like it always did
