Hey, I'm thinking of setting up a new fans Facebook page for PWH. Please don't think it's time run as competition for this site, because it isn't, but the UPWH Facebook page just isn't active enough really (I totally understand that Matt doesn't have the time)
I won't be doing it to gain anything from, as in no website, no youtube channel.Just a page for us fans. I'll even ask a few of the more mature senior members of this forum to help run it (Clarence, Josh... probably more but I can't think of user names).
Need a name for the page too, obvs! Suggestions?
Again, please don't think this is to run as any form of competition for this forum.... if anything this forum will probably be linked a few times when it comes to news etc.
Good idea. I just can't keep on top of it at the moment so will happily post something on the UPWH facebook page once you get something set up to redirect people to the new one.
Have you gained any more hits to the site since we started Maniacs? My post about the Death Slide, where I linked the website, reached almost 200,000 people!
It has definitely had a positive impact on visitor numbers, Martybn. We're still some distance from the heady days of the 30th anniversary year, when numbers shot up, but things are definitely on the up!
I won't deny that it's a struggle now to find enough time to keep the site up to date, but the increased numbers have given me the impetus to make every effort to do so.
Yeah, thats an incredible response. Keep up the good work... I'll keep updating the site as much as I can, it will be the 10th year for the site next year, so it would be nice to see some positive numbers in the run-up to it.
The page only had 300 odd followers at the time! When someone likes or comments on a post from a page, it tends to pop up on their friends news feeds.... "Charlie Smith commented on this" Etc. Also, the main reason for it reaching so many people is because of how many people were tagged in it. It then gets stuck in a cycle, the more people that see, the more people that then tag others, and so on.
Yeah it literally means that it has been physically seen by human eyes but not necessarily interacted with. I believe that to be the case anyway. Great to see the posts do well, it's like watching an eBay listing!
