Pleasurewood Hills Plans

Someone sent me this link with a selection of plans for Pleasurewood Hills. At this stage, very little is known about who created them, why they were drawn and when they were done. However, you will notice that the Cine 180 "pad" is vacant and the Helter Skelter is still in position, so we must be looking back a few years.

So, what do you make of them?

Pretty interesting. But yeah....why?

Yeah looks neat.

I like the idea of a Ferris Wheel in front of Wipeout, and there's a kiddy coaster on there!

Weird looking coaster next to MM though...

TTT doesn't appear to be on there, and Fireball is where we were told it would eventually be moved, which we now know probably won't happen. No moby dick either.

Pleased they haven't changed the mini railway.

These plans are interesting for a few reasons; If the map shows both the Helter Skelter and a blank space where the Cine 180 site is, that might suggest the plans were drawn up quite a few years ago?

If so, did the owners have long term plans to install a coaster like Marble Madness at the park a long time in advance? Why would all these things be drawn on a plan when they never all existed at the park at the same time.

Also, do you notice that the entire Rattlesnake area of the map is omitted, as is the chairlift that takes you to that area.

Does that mean that the "weird looking coaster next to MM" is actually a repositioned Rattlesnake? You'll also notice that Balloon Rays is now next to Fireball.

Yeah that end being omitted does now ring a bell.

I'm guessing these plans were drawn up around 2011. Purely because the drop tower is a cylinder shape (original tower) and the lack of Pleasurewood Ponies and Lighthouse etc.

Yes the mystery coaster is the rattlesnake, the track layout on the drawing is identical.
i don't like the idea of two coasters be so close to each other.

I think you're probably right Martyn. This date would also tie-in with the most recent change of ownership, so perhaps this was their plan for their first few years in charge.

I wonder if any more of the items on the plans will ever come to fruition? A big wheel perhaps?

Can anyone work out what the things next to the kite flyer and clown slide are supposed to be on the bottom plan. There's a circular thing with spokes on it and a collection of little boxes.

I personally think the plans are later than 2011. They were posted in 2013 but it's the presence of Marble Madness that is a giveaway for me. As we know the park looked at other options before MM was finally chosen. I really like the idea of rejigging all the pathways but I don't think changing the angle of Wipeout would be very doable!

plans were drawn up for the caravan idea yet it was shelved - sounded good yet would have looked tacky. dont forget also the reloaction of the entrance booths too was on hand at one point

And the more recent plans for the mini water park, which I assume is no longer on the cards.
