1990 Park Leaflet

The good people at Pleasurewood Hills have provided Unofficial Pleasurewood with another leaflet from the past. This time, we turn back the clock 25 years to 1990. This was a year when "The Land That Time Forgot" and "The Tempest" were the big new additions at the park.

Awesome! So much stuff to do! Fort fun, Magic Music Hall, Land That Time Forgot...all great ancillary additions - shame they don't have these any more, especially the play park; PWH needs a high quality playground!

I'm told that the dinosaurs from The Land That Time Forgot were sold to Wookey Hole adventure park and are still being used today.

Yep, the one on the main site appears to be more of a guide-book wheras this would have been the marketing leaflet, I believe.

Don't agree with the comment about more playgrounds. I wouldn't pay PWH asking price for a play ground when there are better options out there, Playgrounds at the hills should be the bottom of their priority.

Disagree totally Bubbles. Visit Crealy in Devon and you'll see how important a decent playground is in a park. Great for families wanting to rest whiles the kids run off and play. Paultons Park is another example where they have a decent selection of playgrounds.

That's why the shouldn't have gotten rid of the Space net, served that purpose without the need for all the playgrounds.
Something along those lines would be ideal.

I agree with Josh, a quality playground is essential in a theme park, especially the smaller parks.

Looks like Fairytale Fantasy was new that year too. Dark ride, dino area and a thrill ride, what a year!

I have to agree with Josh too. Taking my young self as an example...

I loved the prospect of visiting Pleasurewood Hills to have a on the main rides. Inevitably, though, I would also spend ages running up the hill to go down the Astroglide slides or racing around fort fun while mum and dad had a sit down! They were simple attractions, with presumably low ongoing costs, but great fun!

That's ok when it was £2 a ticket, not £19

I have memories of it as a child, it's where the clown slide is now as that used to be by rattlesnake
