2015 Marketing Poster

The good people at Pleasurewood Hills have provided a copy of their new marketing poster for 2015. I'm reliably informed that this season will see a strong emphasis on family fun, something which they plan to reflect in their posters, leaflets and map.

Nice design, I like it.

But yet again, where's Hobs Pit, or Marble Madness? There's been 12 new rides in the last few years (a few 'major' ones too) and these posters continue to show rides that have been at the park for many, many years.

Say my last visit to the park was in 2010... this poster wouldn't be tempting me back any time soon.

I was just about to say the same thing Martyn! Are they crazy? They have a ride that had worldwide press coverage, an excellently themed new coaster and even the new ride for this season, although mentioned, isn't named or specified!!

As much as "Fab Fun" is a bit twee and cutesy, I quite like it... if they're targeting families, I think it works.

If this was a promotion to target teens towards the thrills, I don't think it would be the way to go.

Fab Fun is really off putting as a tagline in my opinion, and I don't like the way it looks.

And I completely agree with the other comments, Hobs might be 3 years old but it's still a selling point, plus it's not like they've got anything better to sell on. Plus 4 coasters should also continue to be a selling point, plus the new Dodgems should be there.

Maybe they need several different posters to target different people, so a kiddie one, a family one and maybe an adult one.
Fab fun works for a kiddies poster but then they need to show off the kiddie rides.

It seems the park has fizzled out after a cracking couple of years, they just couldn't keep it up and I see this is falling back into old habits.

It does seem very strange that they aren't showcasing their newer rides (alongside older ones), as people will see the poster and think that they haven't put in any new rides since their last visit, when in fact that isn't the case.

This might seem crazy at first, but think deep about it, what does the future hold for Hobs Pit?

It opened in 2013, and it was everywhere! All over social media, and on every bus stop and billboard in the East Anglia, and it even received world wide press coverage.

2014 started, and so did the "Hobs Pit 2014" campaign.

But then the change in management happened, and since then, you'd hardly know it even exists.

I think I'm right in saying this, since Ben left over a year ago, it hasn't once been mentioned on the social media sites. It hasn't once featured in any marketing material, and you wouldn't even know it was still there going by the new park map.

It's gone from being the parks signature ride, to almost nothing. And with Matt saying that the park are focusing on families this year, it does make me wonder how much they really do care about it.

But I think with Hobs Pit its a tricky one because it will only really appeal to new people.

It did have a section in the 2014 leaflet

Eh, why do you think it will only appeal to new people? That's a bizarre thing to say!lol

What I mean is if we have all rode it before and also say season holders it is sometimes unlikely it will be ridden again in a hurry - say for instance a busy enough day I wouldn't do twice I don't think

But not everyone is a season holder and may only pop up once a year if that, and it's an attraction that can always be tweaked and altered.

I get the impression they've made their profit with it and it'll just become another run down wreck like TOTC and others.
But it seems to have more to do with the new management, they don't seem that enthusiastic about the park or that interested. It feels like his just coasting along and it's not longer Small park thinking big bit small pack burnt out lol Social media has been low, news has almost been none existent, the whole park feels like it's had it's personality sucked out.
