RE: New Ride for 2015?

Actually, you'd be surprised at how far back the houses are behind them woods by the Wavebreaker.

Wouldn't it be better if the Wave breaker moved further back so it was closer to the railway line/ houses, putting a new ride there would look a bit lost and out of place, Wave Breaker is quite tall and long.

Hi guys. Do you think this new ride may be an enterprize? As they did tweet a pic of the original one not so long ago? Plus the picks could be the frame work for it? Loved that ride when I lived in norwich and used to come to the park often. Also went on the thorpe one last year and it still packs a punch.

I did check for that when the first picture was released, but found nothing to suggest it would be an Enterprise. And to be fair, they also posted a pic of the old astro slide.

Ah I see must have missed the slide pic. Take it there are no insiders on here now since Ben left the hills?

I also think the flying school site would be an ideal location for something crowd pulling, there's just not enough people passing through that pathway for a mediocre ride like there is now and the flying school may get more use elsewhere, I genuinely hope they can get TTT running again

Would cost far too much to relocate this even by a small amount as its a permanent structure

Yeah they could easily a collection of small rides behind Wavebreaker, that would open up an entirely new area for the park, albeit a small one.

I wonder if there will be anything leaving the park this year? Forget about TTT, what else could face the axe? Dodgems maybe?

Theme wavebreaker, and create an entrance to a new area underneath it. Then have themed rides behind it. Could work, but doubt it'll happen ha!

Or remove Wave breaker altogether, it's not exactly a 5 star attraction lol.

I doubt the new ride is an Enterprise, as someone pointed out weeks ago they don't tend to make them anymore and we wouldn't wanted not TTT situation were they can't fix it. Pity but that's the way it is.

I always wanted Jolly to take on the current Flying school site, thing it would be focal point, but they'll never do that, and it doesn't help they use one of the main buildings as a staff room (the music hall)

The flying school site would be good for a tower ride, but Jolly should go where Sky Hooks used to be. Would be awesome to climb up half the tower surrounded by trees, would add to the suspense!

Jolly is on the one of if not the highest point in the park - that's why it is where it is - if we had got the mega mega tower than yes the old cine 180 site would be good. The palladium or music hall as you say bubbles is used for co-operate events, recruitment and on site events such as ECT

But the height of the land doesn't change the height for the ride, the drop is still the same, and they can build up the ground if needed. I don't know where sky hooks used to be, it might look good were the kite flyer is?

^ Yeah that's not a bad location either.

Again, it's a wasted plot with something as atrociously dull as the Kite Flyer on it.

So, Hyper Drive Dodgems....

I'm intrigued because there must be something special about them to keep hold of the old Dodgems.

But, Dodgems are just Dodgems. The old ones need to go, they have been in a poor state for many years. Why oh why aren't they just replacing them?

Just makes them sounds cooler I guess? At least these will have a good theme to them by the looks!

Equally I see they called these proper dodgems and the existing ones mini dodgems on facebook... Must mean that these are full sized or something.

Weird choice of ride but at least it's something! And they might even look good!

Maybe they've got some new small dodgem cars for the original dodgems? Though I guess they'd probably plug them as new too so maybe not.

I wonder where these are going?

Nobody expected that!!! And so very disappointing considering we already have some even if they are 'mini' ones. it's a bit repetitive to have more than one. Where on earth are the going to go??

I'm all for a good quality dodgem ride, one that's kept looking good but keeping the other ones seems really pointless, unless they're going re-brand it exclusive for kids?? (This new version looks like it might be pretty big and fast)

The poster shows the cars in a tunnel.. I wonder if that's significant?

If you think about this you need a flat surface, how about on the railway station?

I am sure more will come out with Tue recruitment days ahead. This isn't the first time we have had two similar attractions. Way back in the late 90s we had sky screamer and the voyager. Both swinging upside down twin boats. Many will find the hyper dodgems as nothing new yet this is continued investment year on year. If the train has gone then they may well take up all of that area

God I hope they're not going where the station was.....!

And I agree with Bubbles. I would be genuinely pleased if these were a replacement for the awful dilapidated dodgems we currently have.

I'm looking forward to finding out what's so special about these.

There's having 'similar' rides in a park, but dodgems? No park in the world has two sets dodgems (unless for capacity, or one is for 'kids')

Well maybe the plan is the remove the old ones at a later date, no point pulling them up and leaving the plot empty for now.

I don't mind 'proper' dodgems at the park, they're very popular and they're a nice addition. Especially considering the money spend on Hobs and MM recently so I have no problem with this, plus if that poster is a sign of the rides theme it's gonna look pretty awesome too. So yeah I'm supportive of this new ride despite initial disappointment.

But they should not be keeping the mini, two is overkill!! I do hope it's left temporary just to see through the year.

And it does appear the train and platform aria will be the location which it bloody stupid!!!! aesthetically it's going to look horrid there. Pull up the playground and put them there!!!! (shove the playground down with Rattlesnake and use that land up)

Agreed. :P
I guess they could relocate fireball and out it there, although it's a bit too close to the mini.

Disappointing. Why they've never truly utilised a unique frature like that I do not know...
