The 2015 Season

So this coming winter will be the first for the new manager where he can implement any changes or additions. I for one am very interested to see what he does and where he will take the park.

So what do you reckon we'll see, and what do you hope to see?

RE: 2015

I think there will be an investment in a new attraction of somesort ;-)

Overall I hope we get a second train for Enigma, TTT is sorted along with Fireball and something for the castle. TOTC to be closed off perhaps.

Yeah I think they should keep the ball rolling with new stuff. I'd really like to see a Starflyer, on that old Cine180 spot. That and a kids coaster would be a good follow up after MM. Refurbs on Enigma and TotC too. All that would be ideal, and realistic for next year IMO.

Well Enigma, TTT and TOTC are naturally top of the list but i can't see them touching TOTC or Enigma.

We were told Fireball would be moved for 2015, but i don't see the point, fix it, theme it make it look awsome where it is.

where would a kids coaster go? opposite wipeout/next to TTT?

Yeah, or in the kids zone area.

I don't see TTT as a part of this type of 'list' as such. That just falls under maintenance IMO and should without a doubt get sorted, or removed.

And with Fireball, if they're just going to keep running it as a playground swing, any money spent on it would be a waste IMO. And as much as a like Afterburners, it's in it's 11th season. Time to move on maybe?

Fireball is still so popular, maybe they could buy a new version? theme it, paint it, home it permanently.
Sounds like TTT is for the scrap yard. Real Shame, i hope they change it with something similar.

Before any additions:

- Get the extra train on Enigma
- Retheme TOTC
- Fix TTT

Invest:

- A family thrill ride of some kind

Extras:

- Wipeout paint and Jolly Roger theming.

I agree MrB but I also think a filler attraction could also come - indoor play area, a new building attached to the old space net side of the Merry Mariner - great for kids to play whilst parents grab good or a coffee. Or maybe mini golf or a walk through attraction - bring back The Land that Time Forgot but with bigger more badass dinosaurs. Possibly bring back Fort Fun; massive new outdoor play area with the classic drop slide, panning for gold, new western show. So many ideas they could do - it'd be great to see what's in store especially on the back of what seems like a great season!

I think I'd put the dodgems and rattlesnake above Wipeout.

I keep expecting the Dodgems to give up the ghost but they're still going.

Rattlesnake lift is still awful yes, but they did repaint the whole train really nicely this year.

Agreed that dodgems are awful looking and could do with some work!

If rather no tunnel that the tin shed that currently dons the lift hill. Remove it and repainted the track and supports and SITG would look pretty good.

I seem to recall someone saying that the tunnel was a necessity to protect the lift hill when it rains? I totally agree that the current one is a total eyesore tho!

That does make sense as it's tyre driven. Though I would have thought they'd want it to crest the lift to ensure complete protection. I guess this is the reason why they just built it as quickly and as cheaply as they did.

Other models like the Treetops coaster at Oakwood don't require a cover over the lift. Doesn't make sense.

Yeah they don't actually require a tunnel Josh, but I guess it helps.

Well when i was working on part the Snake was always out of action wen the got wet, as the tyres would never grip and there for couldn't pull it up the life, (that'a the excuse the park gave to guests) this was when they had the old leaky tunnel.

It seems logical, but i'm sure i have seen photos of the same type of coaster without a tunnel,

So, the park has clearly had a good year! Should we be expecting something new?

I doubt we'll get anything fancy, maybe a kids ride or something.
id like to see some work done on the parks infrastructure and cleaning up some of the current attractions.
According to what we were told Fireball was moving and would be re-themed... i reckon nothing will be done to it.

I wish we'd get something new as MM is not enough to get me back to the park on it's own...

Who knows what Santas list may bring ;-)...

it has been a great season so hopefully it will see more investment.

The dive show should be back for 2015 - not everyone's cup of tea yet it is a filler in a much needed area - plus I doubt TTT will be back for 2015 - it was shown on map for the chills yet not listed as a attraction on the chills map

Loads to discuss over the next few months !!

Loads to discuss, but unfortunately we're never going to know anything of what's going on behind the parks gates.

I feel it's going to be a very quiet winter on here.
