It wasn't like this last year at all! The 'extreme' attractions opened from 12pm, not 4pm!
I can't tell whether the Halloween attractions will be "ramped-up" after 4pm (like last time) or if they will only begin to operate after 4pm. I hope they come up with a proper attraction listing soon to give people a better idea of what's in store.
I also notice today via twitter ( I may be a bit slow on this ) that the extreme evenings are only running for 4 of the 9 days of the Halloween week Thursday-sunday

It's really good to see them go down a similar route to last year. Without a company like Atmosfear behind it, I feel it will be a 'good' event. No where near as good as last year, but better than any other event the park has put on. It's certainly looking promising! I think might just visit....
new advertisement running across the bottom of the Waveney advertiser this week replacing the main season one we have had all year - it is now displaying one for the chills with bring your little monsters along etc - have taken a photo will try and upload asap
Plus new photo up today of carriage 13 and also advertising for staff for Halloween week

I like the new pics of Carriage 13 on Facebook, looks neat and I'm glad to see they've added new theming! I was expecting them to keep it the same to save costs.
slight correction to earlier post I think the staff is for permanent staff not half term week I may be wrong - I read the advert on Facebook and it seems different to what I first thought
Looks like hills are making a decent go at it this year, I like what I see, and wish them the best of luck, I will be at Scarefest a lot this year though.
Heard the radio ad this morning, it's really good! Will probably lure a lot of people in the gates!
One small issue, it states that its from the 25th, and also mentions the extreme evenings, but it doesn't say that they start on 30th. Some people might get a bit confused.
with all this extreme stuff, we had that last year and you had to pay the extra fee to access hobs pit at any point in the day and the other scare attractions - I assume that this is the same this year and that all the scare attractions will be open 10-6 ?and then just "ramped up" after 4pm ?
The impression I get from the marketing stuff is that the "Extreme"attractions will only operate during the special evening hours. I think the fact that we cant agree means that the park definitely need to clarify things or may end up with some unhappy and confused visitors!
you cant have hobs pit only open 4-6pm from tomorrow for a week and pay 4 quid to enter it too - ok so you are going to have to pay four quid anyway like you did last year yet the attraction cant be shut all day and all week to only open in the evenings - extreme comes from last year when the then 4 attractions were "ramped up" and everything else was shut
I want to know if they've got any plans on next year.
I can assure you parts of 2015 will already be being looked into yet it will all come down to budgets and priority's etc.... as with any other year this next week of opening is 2015 figures not 2014
I think this conversation says it all... If a group of people with an overly active interest in the park can't work out what the halloween offering consists of, what chance do the general public have! I'm certain it will all become clear, but can't help thinking the park are missing an opportunity to "sell" the event before launch day.
last year as advertised all the terror ticket attractions were "ramped up" after 4pm and they are/were the only things that remain open in the last two hours of each day ( except fireworks ) last eyar you had access to the terror stuff all day from midday as long as you had the upgrade.
Martyn - if like last year ( which I am 100% sure it is ) you can only access hobs pit, carriage 13, infectious with a terror ticket regardless of the time of day - so yes you can not ride hobs pit without an additional ticket - like last year
I will be on park Saturday 1st + Sunday 2nd

not confused at all Martyn - some of it is mentioned in my final weekend trip report of 2013....
After 4pm last year the three horror attractions were set to get even scarier for the final two days - If Ben is reading hoping he can remember that too.
I was on park the last weekend of 2013 and on the Saturday until 6pm when only the adult horror bits were open - Sunday was the same yet we had the fireworks
