Merlin have introduced a monthly installment version of the annual pass called Merlin membership Pass. It seems that the pass will be £12 per month for standard or £16 per month for premium.
It is more expensive compared to the one off payment pass but offers a more affordable way of paying and I would imagine the uptake would be high. You will be tied into a 12 month contract to start with.
I for one think this is great and this would be how I would pay for it even though it's more expensive in the long run.

Put it this way for argument's sake: You buy a standard annual pass in March for £143 online price which lasts until next March. You use said pass from March until November when the theme parks close (you only use it for the parks and not the London attractions). When the theme park season starts again you then buy an annual pass again for £111 renewal price. Total amount spent = £254
Alternate view: You buy a Merlin Membership Pass in March for £12.99 a month. You are tied into a 12 month contract so for the first year it costs you £156 but as you want to visit the theme parks for the next season you run it until the end of October to cover the season but then cancel it; costing £91. Total spent £247 which equals a saving of £9.
Although buying them outright is probably a better idea and gives you longer if you want to enjoy the midway attractions too.

Yeah for the sake of £9 you may as well enjoy the lot. But an average of £150 a year isn't too bad when you think about it, with theses parks quite a distance you would only need to allow for travel and over night stays perhaps.. which then it all starts to really add up if you want to make the most of your season tickets.

i paid 119 to renew last year, a new one was 199 last year, now it is 149 to buy new or renew. loads have contatced ASA as they are now breaking the law as they said prices frozen for 2014 yet decided today 26th to hike the porice up saying there calendar year runs from 26th dec-26th dec
Your renewal price should have been £125 last year. Some places had it a few quid lower for whatever reason. The price in the sale this year for new and renewal is £149 compared to th new and renewal price of £125 last year.
They've handled it badly but haven't broken the law. They stated they had frozen their 2014 prices but I don't think they ever said they would stay until the end of the year. Admittedly it is poor form to have the product at a lower price, then have a 'Sale' straight after which is at a higher price though.
So the renewal price went down after the sale in 2014 ? interesting as it was held at £119 ( renewal ) until xmas day 2014 and when I got mine in May 2014

Started on all things Merlin at work now, some great carpet being done at the moment and I was lucky to see the same design at Thorpe Park in one of the ride operation booths !!
