Well get this new thread kicked off with this amazing comment taken from their Facebook page:

erm we had a near death experience today literally.. we was on snake in the grass and when it went up the chain lift thing it stopped and kept making really loud noises, the carts were shaking and it stunk of smoke in there... then about ...2 minutes after the man FINALLY noticed went to the thing and shot us about 10mph backwards with no warning atall!! i nearly had a heart attack and i am really really not impressed... OH and also the Log Flume, we got stuck on it TWICE on ONE round!! There was Bats in the Tales of the Coave ride thing, they kept flying around our head and shooting past out face... ALSO on Thunderstruck the safety bar the man comes and pulls forward yeah well he walked straight past ours and did not even check our seatbelts or the bar!! we was on the ride the whole time when the bar wasnt fully attached.. safety hazard much.. I AM NOT IMPRESSED.. was shaking along time after the experience on snake in the grass.. i went and told the woman in the Customer Service but you need to sort this out

Makes you wonder how this woman would react if she actually does have a near death experiene one day..... no

New theming in TOTC; great idea!! As for SITG almost killing that woman does anyone know what went wrong? I take it that it's working again...

Sounds like the train was slipping on the lift hill tyres. The op would have then E-Stopped it to send it backwards and hopefully remembered to open the brakes at the station otherwise the front of the train would not reach the platform making evacs difficult.

Happened to me several times while I was operating it way back when although I was on the ball. My reward : I got to drive Annie Oakley!

Well, it was p****** down with rain, no coasters were running. There was less than 100 people in the park and most of them asked for their money back. I think it was only open because they had a Birthday booking... they lost out big time.

Closing and not making a penny is better then opening and losing money,

She might not have been local.
The public aren't very forgiving, I remember a young girl looking after the SITG getting a mouth full from a woman because it was closed due to heavy rain, I intervened and explained the problem and I got a mouth full too.

To be honest the park shouldn't have been open.

But if they shut the park, people will complain that the park was shut.

If they shut the park due to weather do the staff still get paid who were due in that day?

I doubt it, they had to shut the park and send them home a few times anyway due to snow.
They spent an hour de-icing the place and then decided it wasn't worth it and sent them home.
As the staff have to clock in and out I would imaging they don't get paid.

Another new website! Great news.

Like coolskin pointed out with the current one the photos are out of date, in fact Pleasurewood Ponies still shows an aerial photo from when the ride resided at Loudoun Castle! I look forward to the fresh new photos smile

^Relocating Cannonball/Enigma is something which Peter Hadden was considering way back when to that exact location I think. I'd love a 'coaster in the dark, and although I'd love to see a different one brought in, I'd still be chuffed if it was Enigma TBH.

I agree that even if it was enclosed, it would benefit from a relocation.

With regards to The Rattlesnake, yes it has seen better days, but the ride is so popular still I really can't see them removing it anytime soon. I don't think I'd want them to either. One thing I would like them to do with The Rattlesnake is trim them bushes and trees back just a bit more.... You get mighty close to them and certain types will insist on trying to grab them which then causes them to flick onto the people behind.

We've always said it on here. That would be quite possibly and frankly awesome.

Not sure I'd be too taken on that, all it needs is some decent Wild West theming and it'd look great in the sunshine. It seems to big for my liking to enclose!

Personally I think it's not good idea. one of the reasons is location.. It's great being able to see it in the distance and from the car park.

I would suggest doing Snake in the Grass instead... The ride needs a real re-vamp, it might reduce noise for the locals and I remember how good it was when it had both tunnels. Being smaller you could do so much more with your money. I know this has been spoken about before on here. But I think STTG will be pulled down in a couple of years anyway, so many the old Cannonball express is something to thinking about.

But a full coaster enclosed is a unique an brilliant idea. something a little different.

I for one think it'd be a great idea. I think it would be an idea to relocate it first though to possibly behind Fireball. That way the pit could be used for something else, like a massive bumpy slide called Astroglide wink

That Clown slide would be a nice substitute.
And moving the coaster, and then enclosing it kinda spoils the landscape and the view, bit of a cost and time waster to re-located it in my opinion.

Quick note while on slides.. they still got the mini helter skelter Used to be next tot eh mini railway station?
To be honest a proper size one would be a nice extra to fill up some of the empty space, shouldn't need any staff to operate it.
