RE: Pleasurewood Chills

Horror Express certainly sounds like the mini railway or big train even.

Trick or Treat ? Could be absolutely anything.

A lot of the 'star' attractions are indoors though so if the weather is bad and this is marketed right - the park could still have a winner...

I've also just realised that this event will finally give the Laser Labyrinth's ridiculously long queue a reason to exist!

UPWH EXCLUSIVE

Nothing is set yet, and could change but it's looking like a £13.50 entry price for the entire week of #TheChills. This will give you entry to the park and all attractions except: HoBs PiT: X-SCREAM, Satan's Circus and Horror Express.

A 'Terror Ticket' will be available on park or at the time of booking online for an additional £5.00 which mean's you'll get a different coloured wristband, giving you access to these attractions.

All attractions apart from HoBs PiT: X-SCREAM, Satan's Circus, TOTHC, Trick or Treat and Horror Express will close at 5pm - We then head into 'The Witching Hour' where things are given the EXTRA Scare Factor until 6pm.

- Oh and everyone who comes will get a Return Voucher for November 3rd Fireworks for £10

Again nothing in concrete yet, but very much looking like this. -Thoughts?! :)

Seems a bit odd, why would anyone want to visit the chills and not make use of the scare rides? (having the cheaper ticket)
It all seems over complicated really, would be better to scrap the cheaper price and do a deal for the fireworks or something.

Nice to hear those five ride will stay open for an extra hour.

Maybe there should be an 'evening ticket'  for those wanting to come up when it's dark!   ?

that's bad so normal paying folk who want to enjoy their day have to fork out a fiver to ride the 2013 flagship ride -hmmm - not a good move

On a separate note I do hope the last night will follow a path like last year where the rides actually stayed open until about 5.30-5.45. This needs to happen again as it keeps people busy and the rides in the dark are cool

I like the pricing structure. It makes sense - are you testing the water for a new permanent pricing structure for all year round?

Edit: Thinking about it would it make financial sense for this kinda pricing all year round? Have an additional fee for Wipeout, Jolly, Hobs and Enigma all year round But a cheaper entry fee.

So the park is open until 6pm right through and not just firework night ?

So basically in order to do the whole lot it will still cost you the price of a standard adult ticket until firework night ?

Return for a tenner is good...I remember when they were a fiver...

And you can access hobs pit as normal anytime its just a fiver for the hobs pit scream thing ?

With the £13.50 entry you will be able to experience TOTHC, Trick or Treat, Spooky Storytellers and Hopton Ghosthunters (Sign up required).

All scare attractions will open from 12pm. - Again nothing in concrete, but looking like this way.

- HoBs PiT can only be accessed if you have a 'Terror Ticket'.

I wouldn't say it's bad at all... You get reduced price entry to the park and then if you wish to do the attractions which are costing the park lots extra to put on, you pay for them. It's standard practice in the industry. Alton charges you to get in, has one paid maze and then makes you pay for two. Thorpe usually raises the entry price and then gives you the mazes for free.

To get in and get everything Halloween based for 50p less than the standard season price is great in my view.

It just means full access is normal price and limited access is cheaper.
Ideal for people with young families not want to experience Hobs Pit extreme.

Be nice to know exactly what these other attractions are.

Sound good... Might be wise to make clear in the small print of your advertising that Hobs Pit in it's current form will not be available to those paying the basic price. It's been the big draw all season and people might think that "Hobs Pit X-scream" is a spin off to the main ride.

yes it needs to be made clear that the 2013 new ride is pay only for Halloween _ I still think it will ruffle a few feathers

But it's not really pay only... Since if you pay the extra fiver, you're still paying less than the season price of £19!

I agree small print may be necessary, but I don't think it will be a big deal. You're paying for the cost of all the extra effects and actors and thus paying for a better experience.

I totally agree... But there is a section of the public who will make an issue out of anything! Give them the info from the outset and they can't really argue too much.

Well if they consider October to be part/start of the next financial year I would guess that goes for season tickets, so I doubt they will work as technically Halloween is next season not this one.

I thought I read somewhere that season ticket holders will get in free and can buy a reduced price ticket for the scare attractions.

Bubbles, I think that although the parks financial year ends in September, things like season tickets will last for the whole of 2013 :)

That clears that up.  I wasn't sure if it was a crafty way of making sure everyone had to buy new tickets. lol

If you needed anymore convincing that Pleasurewood Chills is the place to be this Halloween, the LA Times has just named HoBs PiT: X-SCREAM one of their top 13 attractions to visit this Halloween!

Bradley MacDonald, LA Times reporter said: "In assembling my Top 13, I was looking for unusual, unique and offbeat haunted mazes and attractions that I'd actually jump on a plane and fly halfway around the globe to see." #LittleParkThinkingBig
