So it looks like the canopy for the "station" has been removed. This could be adding fuel to last years speculation of the trains removal. What do we reckon?
As unique as the whole set up is, if it's just going to sit there unused, they may as well make the most of the space (even though there wont be much).
I don't think it will come down unless that whole area is done and changed... yet if we have no chills this year then who knows what may be in the pipeline..
So, I wonder what's actually going on here? Why has the canopy been taken down? I would have it's being removed, so why have the supports been layed out on the ground? Maybe it's being refurbished and will be put back together....
I was there the other day.
The train has been painted all silver. Looks a bit silly.
The canopy and supports have been removed. As the supports and possibly the canopy were from Great yarmouth Beach station, they did have some historic interest.
In thhe place of the canopy has been set up a dodgem car arena, with a new rood for the electricity pick up.
Yep, silver on the hyper drive side and if I remember correctly it has orange stripes as well in an attempt to try and make it resemble a subway carriage. Then you go over to MM or timber falls and see that the other side is still brown. Very professional...
I wonder whether the canopy and supports that KarlR mentioned have been moved or scrapped.
Either way the coaches made sense as they were, being alongside the track and continuing the locomotive theme through the park. I notice they are not included in the official park map compared to previous versions of it. It would have been nice if a local restaurant utilised them to sell food on the park somehow.
