New for 2013: Moby Dick

So we have an update from the park:

With the tag line "whale of a time", it must be for the Moby Dick ride. And the rail kind of gives it away too.

It seems like an odd choice for the location. That's already a lively area of the park, yet there are plenty of dead spots....?

In terms of theme that's a perfect place for it, with its maritime theme it will fit perfectly with the Pirate Ship, Tales of the Coast and Main street.

I suspect that crane is putting the Logs back into the flume or something.

I quite like the location of the Moby Dick ride, and it looks like they will be using the centrepiece ship which is nice. It would have looked a tad lost on the large Hungry Bears site.

They wouldn't need a crane that size to get the log boats back in the flume. Well spotted coolskin, I didn't even notice it!

And whilst I dont particularly like the location of this, it certainly would have been stupid to put on the HB's old site.

I really hope that they can get it looking as good as it did at Hellendoorne.

Have the park given the fish a repaint because they look different? Either way it is starting to look really good

Ben has colorised these photos somewhat and these have had the blues tweaked which makes it look different. If they did reprint them then perhaps they old make them look less scary!! I think the kids will freak out! Otherwise it looks awesome so far.

Looks good! But this pic reminds just how bad some of the fences are around the park! None of them seem to match and they all look like they'll collapse if you lean on them!

Ben, will Moby Dick have some nautical music playing around the ride?

Work has started again on the ride which located opposite TOTC. Entrance and Exit lines are starting to take shape, and the operator booth has been built to.

Regarding filters, it's a clever trick using light from the sun alongside some flash mirrors and water.

Or Adobe Lightroom. ;)

Not fussed about the blue, it's the white that's a bit garish. The brown blends in better IMHO.

And it's a shame they got a garden shed for the op booth :|
