I would like to know unless they are extracting a large amount of reeds just how many boats we will have as last time I saw the lake it had virtually become a reed bank
I used to love those too! There used to be lots of little extra things to do around the park to fill out your day in addition to the main rides... Land that time forgot, the death slide, boats, giant dishes, the big indoor "fun factory", mini golf, climbing net etc etc. There was no shortage of things to do!
The return of the pedalos is definitely a step (back) in the right direction, in my opinion!
They were awesome. I think these paddlers will be ace! Brand new boats do you reckon? Or something from another park? Did Camelot or Loudon have pedal boats?
Hi Jo, and Welcome to the forum, Yes, when I visited last year there were a lot of fish in the lake (How alive they were is a completely different story), It will be nice to see some life restored to that end of the park.
I understand the delay with the Pedalos is due to the fact that when the park first opened, a chalk sediment was placed into the lake to clean it, However, in recent times this hasn't been done, it hasn't been done for about 5 years at least, and so there is about 5 years worth of rubbish at the bottom of the lake, and they have to remove the Reed's that are there, when I went up last Wednesday, there was a bloke pulling out the reeds.
