I hope so! It was very popular last year, so to make good changes and plug it as 'even scarier for 2014' would do the park wonders IMO.
People would return for that alone, never mind the new coaster.
Yeah I agree that it could be remarketed again this year using the the 'even scarier' tag line. That's the beauty of a ride of this nature, it can always be tweaked or changed. I can't wait to see what's in store.
Speaking of ride logos in the other thread reminded me of Hobs Pit and it's many logos:
Firstly the ride itself uses this:
Then the merchandise uses this:
and the marketing uses this:
I personally think the logo/font used on the marketing looks the best. The merchandise is odd and bears no resemblance to any element of the ride (I think Ben said it was ordered from early versions of artwork). Hopefully this season the merchandise is high quality with the right logo and images on.
The ride itself is the first logo we ever saw but has not been used since that first banner on the website. The backwards 's' makes it look a bit childish and the font gives a kind of tribal feel which doesn't work for me. I think maybe they should align them all to the marketing one.
No I love the one currently on the ride, looks great.
But I also love the fact they're using various alternatives for marketing, the marketing logo I don't think would work on the ride itself.

Ben perhaps you can let us know a few little secrets of Hob's Pit before you leave. I'm quite excited to know what changes are going to be made. I look forward to riding again this year as when I rode in Halloween the actors weren't there and all the effects were turned off so was a bit disappointing so I look forward to being back in its full glory.
It will be interesting to see what is made as I can not think of many ways it can - apart from the last part - hope there is still that extra jump on that part and I am sure that was stitch in there over the chills
Going by a report I read on CF, it doesn't seem like there have been many improvements down the Pit. They weren't overly impressed with the ride, saying it lacked scares (or something similar)
So what's Hobs Pit like this season? Has it still got the themed actors as ride hosts and the actor in the ride? Also what are the effects like, still all working?
So, Hobs Pit 2014: not really any different to last year.
I think most effects were working which was nice to see.
No actor chasing you out anymore, instead there's audio of Hob saying bye etc, which was quite cool. I also noticed that in both walk through sections, there were lots of holes in the walls, that I presume are for actors to use to scare you, though nothing happened with any of them :(
ORP actor didn't jump out on both my rides, instead he just hit the wall, which was no where near as scary.
The entire ride section just feels so uneventful, with hardly anything happening. It could really do with some fog effects, strobe lighting and scares! The falling barrells could work if they weren't so far away from the train.
Also, they could really do with blocking up the fire exits, they're letting in a lot of light! And I noticed that there is now a disgusting smell around the area with the dead bodies, nice touch PWH ;)
So my opinion stays the same, its good, and PWH have succeeded in so many areas, but it lacks the basic need of scare attractions; scares.
the smell was in there last season from ride open and it was used in horror express too for the haloween week..We were talking about it and wondering what it is/how its made
hobs is a good attraction yet it does need a bit of tweaking....i agree with the light coming through the doors yes and it was a shame there was nothing on the final run.
we did get chased out on our trip in saturday and heard the new audio.. I also noticed for the first time the mouse/rat tails in the walls !!
I thought the queue moved at a similar pace - if not slower actually. As people were being let in as pairs and not grouped as 4s :/
I agree the fire exits need blacking out as light really does flood in. Fog and strobes would be nice too. There's a lot of potential in the ride but as you said, the ride really lacks scares!
Sounds like it needs a bit of polishing up.
I do hope PWH don't ignore it like they usually do. But it sounds like no investment went into Hobs over the winter.

I'm looking forward to finally experiencing this attraction on Saturday, I've heard lots of good things so hopefully it'll live up to the expectations!
For anyone who's been on it this season, is it still as good as when it first opened? (Which is where I've been reading reviews from).
Hope you enjoy ! as with any attraction at any park it depends how many actors are inside and how busy the parks are in my opinion
Okay, thanks!
I've heard that it opens at 12 noon, is this correct? If so, what time should I aim to be outside it to avoid the queue? (Bear in mind I'm visiting this Saturday in school holidays so it'll probably be busy).
I think it is still 12noon - I would say this will change in peak season. Check as soon as you go in what time it opens there is a sign outside and then aim back about 15mins before perhaps - it will depend on how many are on the park, a Saturday can be a quiet day

So I FINALLY went to Pleasurewood again today, first time riding Hobs Pit. It was actually FAR better than I expected to, I have absolutely no clue why it isn't appearing in any of their marketing because it is a real selling point imo.
