So... we chat about the park regularly but does anyone actually know where the name "Pleasurewood Hills" originally came from? Who came up with it and why the "Hills" bit?
My suspicions are that it may have something to do with an old, large, detached house close to the park on Yarmouth Road in Lowestoft. In the late 1970's, the land next to this property was developed into a road called "Pleasurewood Close". I may be way off, but could this be an explanation?
There is another part near Tesco "pleasurewood farm" I think... will bike down and get some pics of it if it is still there and pleasurewood close too.
Have taken some pics, will mail them to Matt and ask for them to appear in here and I will add info.
