Sorry I haven't been replying to you guys very often. Convo's tend to get away from me and just tend to be far too busy in the day at work.
I do enjoy you've got a Social Media Negatives thread now...
Comments get deleted on our page if they are not product focused. If people complain that a burger was rubbish, then we would obviously say sorry and offer them something to compensate off of the wall. If its something that is slightly more stupid and not relevant (probably like the comment today) then it will be removed. Obviously we have to be careful when we delete anything as it could potentially make something far more volatile then it ever needed to be.
But there are occasions when these comments are defended by fans making our input completely un-necessary. (So I might leave the comment on there after Reece's comment on it!)
As far as the rides being down are concerned, I was told not to make it public. There was no reason told to me and it's something that I think I will be addressing with the managers now we've got through Easter. The work that needs to be done on the rides can not be done with the general public on the park though, which is why it hasn't been completed during the week.
So anyway! Please don't feel like I/We have abandoned you guys in anyway, it's just because of work load on my part. There are a few members of staff that read these feeds who sometimes tell me whats going on and I try and keep up where I can.
Of course, when the rides are up and running properly we will (more than likely) be putting photos online so hope to see you all on the park over the year.
I know that Tide Traveller won't be.. It's starting to be painted today (Sand blasted, this can not happen with the general public on park) so I've been told a couple of weeks still for that. Enigma has been worked on over the week, but I'm not sure on what level it has been. I'll try and find out when this will be ready today.
Thanks for clearing that up Laurence. I do think however that it was a poor choice not informing guests on Facebook and the website of Enigma and Tide Traveller being unavailable. I do however look forward to visiting when these are back up and running.
I agree, especially after you said "all rides and attractions will be open in time for 31st march" i think not informing us that thiswoasn't going to be the case as soon as you knew would have been better so that people wishing to visit just for these two rides don't get dissapointed
^ Informing us isn't necessary, its the general public on Facebook.
I've just realised something, the child entrance fee is only £2 less than adults, at £16. That, I believe is quite high, and is probably a major factor in people complaining about high entrance fee's.
If the park are insisting on not offering '2 for 1' voucher's, I think they should at least consider some 'free child' vouchers.
If they don't tell people rides aren't operating before they get there they will complain like i did when wipeout and enigma were shut last year! Pwhills will be have to be giving refunds and free tickets which could be avoided if it was posted online!
when me and my family go it takes us about an hour to get there so finding out on the gate is no good!
Even if I were in this situation, I would still like to know which rides were closed before I entered.
A board at the entrance gates makes me "feel" like I can make an informed decision on whether to pay to enter. A ride closure is unlikely to make me turn around and drive home, but I'd at least feel like I've been given the full picture!
The A board is still out the front of the park so people can make informed decisions before they enter the park. I will ask the managers when I go in to work about the SM announcements though.
No martyn yet knowing pwh and how it goes i would imagine that not much if anything is done if its pouring down, and hobo is also right with above. Yet i was speaking to someone wednesday who has connections and they were still amazed that they wernt done and like they said they have had 5 closed months and the weather was drier then too.
We all have different views and opinions

Work gets done regardless of the weather. Some things can't, like painting outside, but work doesn't just stop.
I'm interested to see what your opinions are Matt... The rides are still closed because of essential refurb work; work that was ongoing from when we closed in October. Obvious interruptions (the 5 new things on the park, painting etc etc) meant that it wasn't a constant 5 months work on them, but they were worked on as much as possible.
This major work on the enigma and thunderstruck has prevented them being scrapped over the winter... So I think you'll agree having them closed for a few weeks after opening is better than not having them at PWH anymore.
No discount on tickets despite there being 4 rides closed on Saturday one of which brand new ride for 2012 and another main rollercoaster and one more which broke while we waited in the queue. Group of 4 of us, 3 adults and one 4 year old came for a day out, had it just been us adults we wouldn't have come in, just gone off somewhere else for the day. How do you explain to a 4 year old that we are not going. Instead of spending all this money advertising all these new rides and the wonderful family day out spend it on maintance and better still give a discounted rate on the tickets to make up for the fact 5 rides aren't working. Even your gate staff thought it was wrong there wasn't a discount.
Is Jolly still closed then? Interesting that there was 4 ride closed when she started typing that, but there was 5 by the end!
On a serious note though, I cannot believe how unprofessional the park are being over all this. Doesn't customer satisfaction mean anything to them? Just think of how many pi$$ed off people there are that are leaving the park, and are now likely to never return due to the very poor service they're recieving? All these bad reviews are going to hurt the park for the rest of this year at least, so good knows what all this is going to do for the 2012 gate figures. And then what are the new owners going to think if there is slump is visitors? They wont want to keep investing if they're not getting a return.
I genuinely am starting to worry about the park, how things are being run and how they are being so arrogant in turning a blind eye to everything that is going wrong. With their social media presence, the 5 new attractions, ride refurbs, Laurence joining up on here and the new website, I was expecting this to be a new era for PWH, but I think this has been by far the worst start to a season that I can honestly remember. I have never in all my years of visiting PWH known them to be so naive, and down right useless. Its bad review after bad review, all complaining about the same thing, and all falling on deaf ears at the park. Even without Facebook, word still spreads, and PWH is fastly gaining a bad reputation.
