Within the last hour, there's been another complaint:

Just back from pwh and I must say I am highly disappointed. The entry fee is ridiculously over priced for the 3 rides that are so called thrill rides. There's nothing there for adult fun and I would of had much more fun at Gt Yarmouth pleasure beach. I certainly won't be returning anymore.

I dont like seeing parks remove negative comments, it looks a LOT better if the park actually respond to them.

And that last complaint you posted coolskin, what a joke, PWH is crap because a cash register and ORP's weren't working....?

Though it does appear that the lack of discount vouchers is hurting them, as the price seems to be the most common complaint.

I also think that there is so many people comparing it to GYPB they are two totally different places

The lack of updates is a worry as last season we had them near enough daily. I guess its not concidered good business practace to say "this is how crap we are today" which is basically the situation when you have at least 2 of your biggest rides out of action.

They wouldn't need to put it like that though, just a simple message like "Due to circumstances beyond our control, Enigma and Tude Traveller will be unavailable until further notice, maintanance issues etc, too busy over winter etc.".

"Wipeout looks dangerous mate, if anything else. Last week, it got stuck for fourty-five minutes. They had to take blankets up there and they still had to finish the ride. Poor people."

Found this on youtube under a video for fireball. The post said it was posted 4 hours ago so I assume this means wipeout got stuck last week ??

To be fair, the users that comment on Youtube are about as intelligent as a fishcake.

However.... rides do break down, there is nothing we can do about it. Last June we got stuck on Collossus' lift for nearly an hour in heavy rain, it wasn't fun, but I survived, got over it, and enjoyed my day.

Due to the actual chances of a ride breaking whilst you are on it, then you have to be quite lucky to get stuck on one. I've never got stuck on a ride, unless I was hanging upside down then I wouldn't actually mind it. :/

Anyhoo, that's beside the point. As for the lack of updates from the park; I think it tarnishes their image more by not informing potential guests of ride closures. I'd be pretty peeved personally. I only know the rides are down at the moment due to being on here!

Without going to far off topic, i've had a good 15mins on the Big One lift hill.... and a de-railment on the Rollercoaster at GYPB. We had to walk a good section of the track to get back to the station which was superb - it is very steep! Our compensation was... a free go!

the point i'm making is that there is electricity running through that track and if some little kid runs onto it or gets hit by an oncoming car then pleasurewood hills may get sued resulting in a ruined reputation!

^ There isn't electricity running through the track on SITG... What makes you think there is?

Oh right, I see.

They couldn't get sued if that happens anyway. If you walked in a road and got hit by a car, you couldn't sue them for it as it was your fault.

The operator should not have let them on the ride. This, TotC and Fairytail are for small children/families not groups of 'well hard' teens.

I can't see why pleasurewoodhills wouldn't let people on ride purely by how they look!

Because of the above video!

Groups of teens, all adult groups etc are not allowed on these type of rides. Other parks have similar restrictions, but obviously they rely on the op to enforce them.

Then we get into the situation that Thorpe Park placed themselves in last week...

(Image courtesy of Benzin - towerstimes.co.uk)

Just because a group of young people walk up to a ride does not mean they should not be allowed on the ride. It's unfair to the majority if a small minority have done something bad.

Pleasurewood has a limited amount of rides as it is, so they shouldn't be restricting people.

What they should do (and I'm sure they would if they knew), is throw people out of the park.

Its been the situation since i worked at PWH! Its fair enough as far as i'm concerned, why the fudge would groups of teens want to go on Fairytail?

I know you shouldn't judge everyone by the few, but its better to prevent potential damage to rides and/or distress to other guests (through the bad behaviour) by restricting 'teens' on such rides.

When i worked at PWH Peter Hadden had to pay several thousands of pounds to repair what was the Undersea Adventure ride after a group of teens had got out of their boat and caused loads of damage.

Vickie Ward

Visited today and have to say very disappointed ticket price is really high for what you have...no new attractions as the jolly roger is basically renamed as it was the mega drop. Nothing new waste of money and having to pay 3quid each for 2 of the attractions....waste of money well and truly disappointed

Posted 40 minutes ago on their fb page, plus a newer pic of the ponies as it was grand national yesterday

That is actually hilarious. No wonder we Brits have the reputation of being moaners when there are idiots like that about. No new attractions?! I wouldn't blame PWH for deleting that comment.

What a moron.
