You'd be surprised - it's actually quite managable, especially if you're there all day. A lot of people don't come until lunch time and many leave straight after the fireworks.
alton have put photos up to a tenner each up from eight quid each - yet the tenner fee includes a digital one apparantly too. I guess all merlins have gone up
Well we arrived on park just before 9am and got on a empty monorail ( despite my company doing the graphics for these monorails out and in ) I hate how they are now all covered up and you can barely see out of them....
Headed straight to nemesis and gave it three in a row for its 20th birthday - the new restraints looked the same as the old !!
Over to Smiler which was already letting on ERT holders even though it was not listed as part of ERT. We had a great ride - just can not describe this ride - it is fast becoming my favourite at the Towers which I did not think it ever would.....
Purchased the DVD of us on it and it was great to watch it all.
Oblivion next which as ever is just so good - always forget how good that really is..
Where Submission once sat is now a new grassed area and a bench.
Hex was shut as we headed to the gloomy wood so did Rita and Thirteen 0 both good rides - love Rita.
The first drop on Thirteen does have some kick to it.
Hex open by 11am as we left Gloomy Wood so in we went - clearly everyone in there except me and my mate had not been on it so they all stood there as the vault was revealed - I pushed through !!
Sonic spinball next - hefty wait time - longest of any ride for us on the day - they were only allowing three in acar due to the rain that was coming down by this point rather hard - good ride yet very wobbly !!!!
Cbeebies land had boards round it and you could not see much - due to open by end of May I understand.
Duel - haunted house was good and my mate beat me this time !!
We did not do any water rides yet they were still busy with people.
After lunch we repeated the morning line up except Duel and Hex.
We did not bother with Air - whilst its a great experience it really is a let down and not worth a wait at all - hence why we didn't do it.
Ripsaw had to let a fat guy off as the restraint would not close properly - the carriage does not even spin !!!! I was like what !!!!! Think its quite old now and well it has such random settings - different when its a hot day etc
Overall a good day - weather did spoil it yet all rides kept open even in the heavy rain - we are quite sure that the smiler was extra fast on our second go due to the rain that had fallen.
Next day entry was 9.75 and any day return was 15 quid - both great prices as even with a MAP it would be 23 quid.
6 pound parking - which with the MAPP was free - and still a staggering 16 quid to park at front of park !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mate who is a smoker also choked as did I at the 10 pound a packet for his brand of cigarettes - the kiosk attendant even said he had been attacked by folk over the prices !!!
Worth noting ( ok I am a theme park geek ) yet saw a sign for forbidden valley which still had "dynamo" listed !!!! This went good few seasons back now.
Most of the Nemesis queue line is still usable and the extension to the left of the entrance is still used pretty often. It doesn't tend to go all the way to the lift hill anymore though unless exceptionally busy.
The bit by the station which goes behind the stall turn is never used anymore as it's technically in the Air ride area.
As for Submissions old queue I'm pretty sure it's still there as there is very little use in removing it.
Yeah the queue near the stall turn is overgrown and bushy because it is sealed off for good as it goes too close to Airs lift. You'll never see it used :)
As you go up the steps to the station - that bit of queue there that is welded shut? It goes directly next to Air's lift hill. Although it may not seem that close, it is classed as being within the ride area.
