RE: Kiddie Drop Tower & Pony Trek ride - 2012

This is pityful!

Fingers crossed they listen to folks like us and add some theming!

Even the monorail at the pleasurebeach has better theming than this!

I think the kiddy tower looks great there - makes that part of the park look busier.

lol When i worked there the sign writer/artist mis-spelt 'management' on signs which went on EVERY ride. I didn't take any pleasure in informing him of thisbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I get the feeling it came with the ride from Loudoun Castle. It just doesn't seem very PWH

"NEARLLY TALL ENOUGH IS NOT TALL ENOUGH!! - a bit aggresive me thinks.

I'm not so sure... It looks a lot like the style of the Laser Labyrith sign.

This is a theme park, the signs should look professional. Not like a travelling fair. As much as the name changes were stupid when they took place a few years back, at least the signs all looked good.

Here's hoping they all get changed with the full park rebrand for next season.

Serious 'spacing' issues -

NEARLYTALLENOUGHISNOTTALLENOUGH

looks like one long word.

Also, no fatties allowed!

Considering this is a proper kiddie ride, 1.1m height restriction seems quite harsh really.

Vekoma loopers have a restriction of 1.2m!

Yeah, hate that sign. Seriously PWH, signs are the easy bits to get right!

Pic from UK Park News. Shows the signs are following the same template "NEARLY TALL ENOUGH IS NOT TALL ENOUGH" - the signs look like something you would find at a fairground, not at a theme park.

Uniform, professional signs like the old leafy ones that were put in with the last logo change is the way forward.

^ I didn't actually them signs tbh.

This is all very temporary, but then we have been told this is a temporary attraction.

The Lighthouse isn't a temporary attraction though...

Whether you liked the signs or not, they certainly looked better than the ones that have been put in for Laser Labyrinth, Lighthouse and Jolly Roger. They were at least slightly artistic, incorporated the height restriction and were uniform across the park - thus making PWH look professional.

you know even if they just build the steps and a que line out of some timber decking it would look a million times better, and cheap too and more in a boat theme than bloomin metal fairground style

What are they thinking? This is awful.

The ponies really annoys me. We are to believe that the drop tower will be replaced in time but the ponies are set to stay. why not invest a few quid in making it look inviting to kids. Its not just the ponies.. its the music, the potential this ride could have with a little effort.

Whats the point of having a 5 year plan if they are not going to invest in what they already have?

i know its more complicated than i suggest but come on!

AAGGGGHHH!

Rant over ....discuss!

so is the ponies left with all that terrible ground work and no themeing at all ? just "dumped there" ?

I think all the signage will be changed on with the park rebrand next year!

Actually, you are probably right HPeek. What would be the point in make a really flash new sign when they are probably gonna change them all next year. If they don't change them though :(

I think ensuring the rides are fully maintained and actually operational is far more improtant than this rebrand
