None whatsoever! In my college days I decided to use my ample free time putting together a site to rival the official Broadland website. I managed to interview most of the presenters of the time and even got hold of some of the popular DJ's of the past.

Originally called UB102 (Unofficial Broadland 102) it got a good amount of hits, but at the introduction of Heart I began to wind the site down. It's still online as "Goodbye Radio Broadland" and uses some of the Unofficial Pleasurewood web space... you can find the site by googling "Radio Broadland".

How long were you a Black Thunder for, was it fun?

Shame the Radio Broadland roadshow is no longer there for the firework night like it use to be at PWH, was great. I think the Heart soundstage would work though. I also remember when Broadland 102 had a firework in their name lit that went round on the chairlift as quite often see you next season did too.... and then woody would wave us all out of the park lit up by floodlights on the cash booth roofs. Great, great memories

I joined Broadland from Radio Norwich, I worked as a Black Thunder for a year and a bit. It was great fun, I now work at the BBC as a Broadcast Assistant.

I've put the old Rob and Chrissie interviews I did years ago to good use and added them to a site i've put together at robandchrissie.co.uk I've got some highlight clips of their final show to upload too.

I've always liked listening to Chris Marston... I'm not sure if he left by choice or if he was pushed like Rob and Chrissie. I'm glad he'll still be on air in this area.

Yes I have. Yeh was a shame that R+C didn't have the contract renewed. I don't listen now. Rob is now PC at 99.9 radio Norwich and Chrissie has been doing lots on BBC Norfolk and Suffolk too

I believe Noel Vine from The Beach will be joining Heart East Anglia soon to present the drivetime show. His last show on The Beach is tomorrow.

To be far all theses 'local' radio stations and Djs are pretty naff, Musically anyway.. plus the adds would drive me nuts.
Last time I was forced to listen to 'the beach' I heard the same add three times an hour all day and it was the same music over and over again, no variety and very disappointing. :(

Local radio can be fairly cheesy, i'll give you that! However, for me, there is something comforting and reassuring about listening to familiar voices on the radio. I drive around lots for work so i've always got the radio on.

Noel officially joins Heart on 19th May. I have to admit he was quite interesting and engaging on The Beach, so I'm sure he'll do fine.

30 years of Radio Broadland - a special programme was broadcast on BBC Radio Norfolk yet it is not available to listen at the moment.

It was the first commercial station in Norfolk and North Suffolk and at its peak had the best listening figures of any station in the UK - slowly it was swallowed up the big guys now part of a national network - " Heart East Anglia remains the number 1 commercial station with a reach of 293,000 "

way down on the figures it use to hit - yet its how the world rocks now.

Happy 30th Birthday Radio Broadland - thank you for so many brilliant memories
