The Tempest

FINALLY got a ride on The Tempest yesterday, at its newest home - Ligh****er Valley, under the name of The Black Pearl. Still looks the same!

I remember being at the park all them years ago, looking up at it. It looked about 200ft tall when I was a wee nipper, and I still remember that face on the backboard scaring the hell out of me!

Its quite a good ride actually, though the restraints certainly aren't the kindest :|

Its odd just how much of a menacing ride it is really, especially as there's so many other twin inverting ships. Its probably because of how big it is.

I remember going on this when I was 13, I cried like hell. Was very scary and I agree it is a good ride. Shame it went...

Well it's being well taken care of at LWV so thats a good thing. This is the ideal type of thrill ride for PWH. They were mad to get rid of it!

Think it may have gone straight to Loudoun, but dont know.

And why it did it go? Why does any ride move on? Manys answers to that one really, and I guess we'll never know.

LOL at the park still having its replacement ride from 1994!
