A member of UKRides visited the park the other day, he's normally quite negative, but he seemed quite impressed.

Anyway, he said the bad news with Tide Traveller is that it is now a lot louder than before! - How can that actually be posible?

But good news, he said its running a lot faster!

As in it clunks a lot more than it used too, it's only noticable on the ride.

Will definitely give it a go. Certainly looks better but hopefully it'll ride batter as it was one of my least favourite rides. Can't fault it for look, although the awful signage needs to be eradicated!

I think he was on about the general 'whirring' noise that it makes. It was pretty bad before, so god knows what its like now!

So, as Josh said, Tide Traveller is currently down for the count... hope its nothing serious.

I would speculate that it's down to staffing but as the elephants are on the rotation system then probably isn't. Shame really.

Its one of the major rides as such, so I wouldn't have thought they'd close to it cut back on wages.

the pods have been taken completely off the main arm of the ride. the pods have been placed around the outside of TTT and the elephants have also been taken off and placed next to the maintenance yard where the lighthouse was last year

sounds like a move for the TTT and maybe relocation to another park for the elephants ??

Considering the ride now has a concerete base, I really cant see them moving it....

I just hope it's nothing serious. I always wondered if there could/would be any downside to all the work they done on it last year.

It looked like it was being worked on in the morning but I never saw it working personally. When I went to Wipeout in the afternoon it had an out of action notice.

It has certainly had a lot of down time so far this year and wasn't the best last year. Such a shame after all the wonga and effort gone into the 'refurb'. At what point do they say 'enough is enough'? Can't be far off!
