RE: The Tide Traveller

Can't believe there's been no official word on this.

Hence why I was asking bubbles as there has not been a mention and nor does anywhere say it is not operating

I think TTT could be down for the count! It says something when the "temporary closed" sign is sun bleached....

I hope they can get it working, but it's certainly not looking good.

What actually happened to this? Can it not just be run on manual like a twister? Personally think that's the best bit before it goes up in the air anyway

Still SBNO I believe. I don't think we'll see this working again. I'd like to see a new exciting flat ride in it's place.

Is there anything in particular that you'd like to see, Josh?

Air Race!

Though I would rather they fixed it for now. I don't think the park is quite at the stage where they should be replacing rides just yet.

I was going to say Air Race too. It looks like a really great fun ride for riders and spectators alike. Plus the standard theme seems pretty decent, looks the part straight off the shelf!

TTT - shame, shame after all their hardwork. Surely this will go over winter

Not visited in a couple of years so don't know if there ever was but TTT had no signage, it also had a few covers off etc, also have a feeling it will go

It had one ugly sign right at the start of the queue lane, but that was it.

Tide Traveller?

Hi, Went to Pleasure Wood Hills today for the first time in 2 years, I notice (again!) the tide traveller no longer lifts. Does anyone know why? We had a rather bad 50 second long ride that launched us very powerfully backwards and not much else was dissapointed. The operator seemed clueless...

RE: The Tide Traveller

They've been awaiting some parts to fix it for some time now......

Two year wait? Surely it cannot take this long.. It's the height of summer and it is very disappointing parts haven't been able to be sourced/manufactured. The ride is so short not worth going on to be honest.

Why don't they just close the thing until it's fixed? It's doesn't appear to be worth opening and I'm sure the staff member would be better of elsewhere.

A few weeks ago it was actually on a fairly decent cycle that lasted a while but I went today as well and it was only properly powered up for 20 seconds before it slowed back down. I liked it when it worked properley but I agree if they can't get it fixed soon then they should either ditch it or not waste any money on operating it.

I know the lifting ram used to look like it was pissing oil from the seal when it was operating properly a couple of years ago, but that's surely a, perhaps costly, but simple fix? Have they diagnosed what the problem actually is?

The mechanisms must be similar to that of a Huss Enterprise, and there's plenty of them left in the world....

Maybe the park has decided not to repair it and will in fact replace this winter.
But I reckon they just can't be bothered with it, the whole year for the hills feels like a 'I can't be bothered this year' attitude lol Including the social side of things.

I could imagine an air race fitting well in it's location if the park did decide to get rid of TTT and they actually look quite good in their standard form even without theming.
