A few little changes?

Is there anyway of having members locations on display under their avatar etc?

Also, the date they joined the forum?

Can the date/time the post was made not be moved to say be in line with the 'edit' and 'quote' buttons in the actual post? Seems odd having the post info mixed with the member info.

I agree! Would be really useful to have! A way of thanking or 'liking' posts would be useful too!

^ Like I said in the other topic, I really cant see the point in that. If you like someone's post, you can easily say "well said" or "I agree" etc.

But great idea on the favourite ride Josh! (Also, dont quite see the point in the 'Status: Online/Offline', seems a waste of space really).

I'm afraid I disagree Martyn; Posting single comments or really short phrases takes up unnecessary space in a thread - it just makes it longer than it needs to be. It's then really annoying to drag through posts to find something because some has only written 'Thanks'.

^ Sorry Leon, I didn't mean to just post "I agree", I ment for it to be as a part of a longer post.

Haha, I would like a thanks system but I put it to bed ages ago. It's good to have someone on my side though. :)

I have looked into the settings on the board and can confirm that this software does not have a "thanks" option. I'm always keen to look at improvements for people regardless of whether I personally see a need for them.

By and large, the majority of the features on the board seem to work well and most of the issues of the past have been ironed out. An overhaul of the entire message board software will take a lot of time and research to get right. It is under consideration for the future, as i have mentioned before.

http://irkoo.com/ allows you to implement a JavaScript based thanks tool on most sites/forums - and it can be modified to only include "Thanks" rather than "Negative" rep.

On the subject of other forum software, phpBB3 is free to download and install and is customisable, but it would be a ballache to transfer the databases over and stuff

Yeah, database migrations are a nightmare. vBulletin would be awesome in a nice world, but it's expensive. MyBB is a great free option.
