Alton Towers Map 2011


as I'm going to Alton in a couple of weeks I just looked up this year's park map. last year's was busy:

But this year's is just ridiculous:

Last year's at least made you realise the park took forever to get across, this year just looks like everything is on top of each other. terrible map!

I know park maps can never be 100% accurate, but as the years go by, Alton's map just gets more confusion, and misleading. Look at where they have the Dark Forest, directly behind the Towers?!

At least last year's gave some sense of scale... Air looks like it is directly next to Th13teen when in reality there is no way of walking between them without going all the way back through the park and up past the towers...

^ Actually, you can get across by going through the valley. It kills you, but you can do it.

I always give the valley route a go - it's only about 15 mins and it is a pleasant little walk. I agree the the new map, no sense of scale at all but it is nicely stylised and a damn sight better than this one:
