RE: Another Major New Ride Confirmed!

Shame about Camelot but could be a blessing in disguise if PWH could acquire a ride or two. Whirlwind would be great I agree.

I'm not going to hold out any hope with Camelot.

After all, there are still some pretty decent thrill rides sitting up at Loudoun Castle, yet Pleasurewood got the Ponies and Lighthouse...

BUT - Camelot may be willing to let things go for a knock down price as they have plans for the site. Loudoun, it would appear, do not so will be more willing to keep hold of attractions until a suitable price is agreed. Perhaps Loudoun are asking too much for Twist and Shout, 'cos otherwise I'm sure a quality little coaster like that would have been long since sold.

Don't know why, but the whole thing with Loudoun Castle annoys me!

There's some kind of recent photo's on these links, that were taken this summer:

That's crazy! I find that chair swinger ride at Loudon really bizarre. It somehow looks not of this time.

You'll have to forgive my ignorance here, but is loudon castle not open anymore? and the rides are just sitting there?

Yes, them decent rides (that would make brilliant additions to PWH ;)) are just sitting there. The park closed in August 2010.

It's so odd though, as the people that owned the park, and still own the rides/land (Bemboom) are 'ride traders' as such. I think they own a few parks around Europe and they do a lot of trading with travelling rides all over Europe. It's even more odd when you consider that Bemboom completelt refurbed that Gold Rush coaster in 2010, yet they have left it open to the elements for well over 2 years now....

The Gold Rush coaster, Twist 'n' Shout coaster and S&S Space Shot would all fit PWH perfectly.

They'd all take a lot of refurbishment now but they are all just waiting for someone to take them on... Bet they're rather cheap too!

^ I bet they're not, and that's why they're still there. Either that or they don't actually want to sell them.

If we didn't have Wipeout, then maybe.

Oh I'd love the Whirlwind coaster, think it's perfect, same style as Wipeout, but it does something completely different, so could work... I'm really hoping for Whirlwind from Camelot though... either Whirlwind would make me visit again.

the blue seats from the chair swinger look really nice with the chrome, but overall the ride does look quite futeristic, but 1960's futeristic

One of the strangest rides designs. It is bizarre to say the least. However I'm surprised it hasn't been bought as I'm sure it could be themed into something quite striking for a park.
