I love Wipeout. I think it's a great coaster. It needs to be sorted out, empty seats, non-automatic restraint release etc but it is a great addition for PWH.
agreed that magic mouse should not have gone - was popular and yes it is a marmite ride - wipeout was probably the best addition in terms of roller's the park will ever get
Wipeout is an incredible addition to the park. Without it, PWH would struggle to exist today. A theme park without inversions is, well, not a proper theme park tbh!
yeah, they got rid of my favourite ride for it and have ever forgiven them for it

Progress. Things change. People move on.
The Magic Mouse was a brilliant, fun ride. Wipeout brought PWH into a new era. Like I said - if they hadn't have bought it, the park would struggle to exist in the same way today.
Any decent theme park needs a coaster with inversions.
Also, take a park like Alton. Corky was an incredibly popular ride with many people, but it was old, and they needed to move forward. So Th13teen was born. Despite any arguments over it, its a fun little ride and brought something new.
Magic Mouse was fun, but Wipeout brought something new and amazing to the park.
You need to look to the future with things like these.
Replacing the Magic mouse with Wipeout was the best move the park has ever made. I honestly never thought I would ever see such a big coaster at PWH, and even though it is only 120ft, when you're in the car park, it just towers over everything in the park.
If you want to talk about disappointing replacement rides, lets start with The Tempest being replace with the Dodgems....
The mouse should have been relocated yes, as for the dodgems and the tempest, hmm quite. Goodness knows why the tempest went, must have been down to money
I'm hoping for something big here! At the moment Pleasurewood are on the same level as Thorpe Park was before they got Colossus.... Wipeout maybe acting as a pull as Tidal Wave was. So maybe in the next couple of years we can hope for a major new coaster which should pick up the pace of things.
I have a question Lauro! When this news came about of a second 'mega' ride, confirmed by Alexis on the radio, was there an actual ride in mind? And is that still the case today?
As in, is it still the same ride that they originally had planned back when they first mentioned it?
No answer Martyn. I sure hope it's a decent addition and not another fairground ride plonked in a clearing. Don't get me wrong JR is great but it doesn't have the theme park quality and I don't want to see that again next year.
The theme park was purchased by Story Group, a construction company based in Carlisle and leased to Knight's Leisure who run the park. The site's future remains uncertain as the new owner is planning to redevelop the site. Current indications are that this will be a housing development On the 2nd November Camelot closed its doors forever many say that the boy who fell off the ride Excalibur 2 is what put people off going to the theme park. Its alway sad to see a UK theme park go
Nice one Lawrence, glad to hear the park is interested. As I mentioned in the other thread, Whirlwind coaster and the Big Apple Coaster would be ideal for little PWH.
Not gonna lie, any of the coasters from Camelot would be great. If Enigma is truly as knackered as we think then Knightmare would be a good replacement (though not sure where the behemoth of a ride may fit), Whirlwind would provide a unique experience on park and would remind visitors of the popular Wild Mouse which is good and the Big Apple ride would fit nicely in the kiddy corner.
All 3 would need a repaint and refurb though. The reason I'm such an advocate of Knightmare is that rumours are it may be set to leave the country unless someone comes in for it as it was apparently leased to Camelot. So it would be a crying shame if the UK was left without it.
Yes Knightmare has an owner as such, and it was leased to the park. It was said a couple of years back that Knightmare already has a new home lined up for when the lease ends.
Whirlwind would just be amazing for PWH. They could have 2 options, stick it next to the Sea Lion Show, OR, stick in a building in the back corner of the park by Rattlesnake, and give a loose space theme.
Hmmmm, that would be a bit unpractical for such a major ride, sticking it behind another. That area behind Wavebreaker would be good for a collection of smaller rides.
