would have looked better if they just hammered in a wooden picket style fence, instead of bleedin metal railings!
Thats my point really, I know they ain't going to look great, but more effort would have help.
Has anyone looked through their pics on Facebook of that National Express fun day, they had some trampoline guy struting his stuff, they had a nice fence put up for him, so why not for this?!
Maybe it's down to the operators. I would imagine as this is a temporary addition then it would be down to the owners of the installation? Who knows but I hate temporary metal fencing!!!
Surely the Zorba things are just rented - a nice fence is probably extra cash they don't wanna lose. This will be a quick cash venture - surely once they have paid for it. it only cost the price of fuel for a genrator and inflating and thats it - instant cash!
Well today I took a trip up to the park for a browse... Very muddy around the perimiter and no one working at all - sounds mad when you think of what is to be done and what CAN be done.... There is no change to fireball so no 10th year birthday present for that... no change to jolly still the same colour....
Scaffolding on the lift hill of enigma - was this there all of 2012 ? I can not remember now. Random blocks of bricks/paving slabs around the place so it seems they are updating some paths..and well yes my ususal moan the awful old entrance site...what a disgrace....something new added to it some plastic chairs... enjoy the pictures....
The first two pics remind me of just how much space they DO have and how these use to be full of cars and known as the overflow car park - especially on firework nights

First post, been lurking for months. But those old Cannonball trains being left to rot there have struck a cord with me. What a waste, fair enough they need to repair what they have, but what will they do when the final train clonks out?
The last time I came was in 2011 (I used to go every year with my parents though - I had a great time, but that was mainly due to the nostalgia probably), but with the way they seem to neglect their rides (Fireball, Pirate Ship, Dodgems and Snake In The Grass in particular, also don't seem to be in as good condition as they should be), I don't know when the next time I go will be.
It'll always be my favourite theme park, but it's convincing others to come and them having a good time which holds me back. Will be watching the progress this season though!
Yeah there are quite a few rides looking run down, but on the other hand they have been sorting some other rides out, like Thunderstruck and Sky Hooks, and I presume that Hobs Pit is a much needed refurb for one of the dark rides. Also they done a pretty good job on Timber Falls in 2009.
Oh, haven't seen what they've done to the Sky Hooks. When I went there last, they didn't look great. And I was gonna say that Log Flume looked run down in my original post but then remembered that they have put a lot of effort into it with it's current theming (and even when it was Mellow Yellow!). The pictures of Thunderstruck look great, but last time I went it hadn't had the re-paint and, by the time I went to ride it, it wasn't in operation (so I've never been on it).
I guess it's a work in progress. One thing I am excited about (even though the ride isn't really my cup of tea, would have rather they nabbed another thrill ride/coaster) is Moby Dick, I think it's gonna fit in well with the parks nautical theme!
Yes I totally agree with that, it will look very good in the park. I'm all for them bringing in good quality kids rides, so long as they can then get rid of the old travelling rides.
I'm looking forward to seeing where they've placed Moby Dick.
It seems as if things are really developing this season - ok not in terms of thrilling attractions but in terms of attracting families to the park - their bread and butter- things are really shaping up!
