trip report sat 7th may 2011

hi chaps and chapettes well me and the other half went back to hills yesterday, had out 2 for 1 vouchers from last time

arrived at 1pm well ive never seen it so dead, honestly! ques throughout the park were minimal, waiting only 1 turn for enigma and wipeout!

minimal changes from the other week, the chairs have now been removed from the sky hooks, and we saw some staff around the new station of the little train so maybe there planning on sorting that soon?

last week i went thunderstruck was running faster and better than ever i thought, well that didnt last, i think it was spinning to slow to hold the cars away from the middle yesterday, every 2 turns our car slammed into the middle of the structure! never had that happen before, was scary as hell

on our exit it was needless to say they were not handing out half price vouchers! bet they barely broke even that day

Its sad that it seems the park is struggling, especially with all their socail network pluggin they've been doing :(

I hope the new owners will realise there's a problem and do something about it asap. And I dont mean repaint Thunderstruck either!lol It does sound like the park is trouble, I reckon they'll need 3 BIG rides to really get people interested again. Something like a family coaster, water ride, and thrill ride.

yep they must see they desperately need to do something now, why wont they listen! both days the weather has been perfect yet still dead, yet pleasure beach, allthough a rip off, was heaving last week, only new ride they have is the miami but its better than a big fat nothing, theyll realise at some point im sure :s

I was gonna say after seeing Reece's photos on FB from today the park looked deserted! I haven't seen any TV advertising and the lack of a new attraction must be hurting them big time. They have a great 2-for-1 offer throughout may weekends through highstreet hawk but they should be putting vouchers out and about in newspapers, supermarkets etc. Big marketing fail.

For the first time ever, I'm actually a little concerned for the future of Pleasurewood :(

Did you notice anything different with Wipeout's ORP? It was quite a while ago now that Pleasurewood said that the technicians were coming in to sort it....
