This is another 'bring it back' poll, this time though, for the Megaspin Rollover:
Its quite disappointing that this site has no info on it at all, anyone browsing here for the first time wouldn't have known this even exsisted. And that iss why there's 4 options in the poll; yes or no if you have ridden it, and yes or if you haven't, as I dont imagine many peeps on here have ridden it, or even knew about it. It was only at the park for one, maybe 2 seasons. It sat opposite the Magic Mouse (as did many, many other rides)

Fondly remember riding this (despite voting the top 'yes'). Quite an intense ride. I remember one really hot day in August 2000 it opened at about 2pm to screams of hundreds of teenagers running to it. I seem to remember it was quite prone to regular breakdowns.
Never rode it, it was at the park during an era in which I didn't visit the park, looks good but again fairground ride in a theme park doesn't do it for me. Which is why I'd love to see Fireball replaced with a bigger park model.
As far as i know the mouse was leased, and then brought by CDA when they took over....... I remember asking someone at the park why they didn't then buy Mega Drop.
The £500K figure was one which Peter Hadden used quite alot when taking about new (hired) additions to the press!
Hmm, I dont know. I remember it being a big deal, so I'm confident they did buy it originally.
You've also got to think of them timing, when it first came to Pleasurewood, they had only just 'come on the market' as such. I couldn't imagine anyone buying them tolease out so soon after they're first introduced to the world.

Yeah they definitely bought it. It was one of the first Mouses' installed in a UK park, having it installed the same time as James Mellor's (from the funfair circuit) purchased his travelling version. Reverchon produced two models, the larger being the one Pleasurewood had. I still think it was a silly decision to remove it from the park - it could have been moved elsewhere for Wipeout. The ride was a great all rounder - tweens, teens and even adults could enjoy a mildly thrilling go on it.
Yeah they did make a smaller version, but you rarely see them. I've only seen one at the Goose Fair in Nottingham.

It was a good deal really, Bagatelle got a new ride for free, apart from shipping costs obviously. I dont know why, but I cant stand them now, they're vile creatures, and I'd hate to see one back at Pleasurewood. IF they were to get something like that, I'd rather they went for Fabbri's smaller version:
These aren't so repetative, and they spin throughout the whole circuit, so they're that little bit more fun, and less painfull. Oh, and A LOT less common.

That's the one James Mellor's owns!
Yeah I do agree they aren't amazing, but it was still a coaster for the park. A well themed Fabbri version would be great for the park!
