Disney arrives at Pleasurewood!

From Pleasurewood's Twitter:

Heaps of new Disney goodies in our shops too!

Well this is big news! And really shows that the park is moving in the right direction.

Apart from the big shop on the Main Street, I've always found most of the souviners on offer are quite tacky, and more like a Joke Shop, so this is a massive step forward for the park in my opinion.

By looking at that pic, that was taken inside the big shop on the Main Street, which I find a bit odd to be honest. I liked most of the stuff in there, very nautical etc and fitted in well with the Main Street theme.

It would have been perfect if they had turned that crappy little shop next to Porkies Pantry into a 'Disney Shack' type of shop - but that is me being very picky though!lol

Anywho, its great news!

that may be your your opinion Martyn but when you think about it that little shop is going to bring in a lot of money and is perfect for the audience : teenagers/families as little kids and teenagers (me included) find it very difficult to come out oof there without buying any sweets

I haven't actually been in there for a few years, but all I can remember is it was selling loads of tacky joke shop junk, and that was one complaint from a large coaster community, that most merchandise was awful.

Anyway, woo Disney! I could see my other half being interested in that Minnie cushion!lol

So what's the general state of things in regards to park merchandise? I haven't been in the shops for a while but all I've seen is the Wipeout merchandise at the ride itself. Is there a decent amount of park branded merchandise and ride branded products or do you think we could get more of that. One thing I always buy from Alton or Thorpe are those mugs with the raised graphics. Does PWH do these?

Apart from Wipeout, park merchandise is/was pretty limited. They had the usual school trip type of stuff like pencils etc, and they had done a smart pin badge which I own, for only £1.25, which is great value for a pin badge.

The big shop on the Main Street sold lots of nautical stuff, the kind of stuff you may kit your bathroom out with, as well as the tacky stuff. I think its good to bring a recognized brand into the park, considering they're reasonably priced obviously.

And well rememberd about Wipeout Josh, they really did go all out with that didn't they? Its a shame they haven't continued that pattern, though I wouldn't be surprised if Timber Falls followed Wipeout soon, with merchandise etc.
