I think the biggest issue is the quality of the players. Look at the team sheet from a few years ago, compared to today. The only players with real quality are Gerrard, Suarez and Reina.
Sterling? Shelvey? Not so long ago that was Torres and Xabi Alonso!
Good job city done so well in November, 4 defeats in a row, but still 8 points clear of the drop zone!
I suppose we were pretty lucky with other results really, as we were 10 points clear before the first defeat, so only losing 2 points after 4 defeats isn't too bad.
Calling for Houghton's head is a bit much, but relegation is a possibility.
This is worrying times for City I'm afraid, though at least we stayed 7 points clear. We were 10 points clear before we started loosing games, so to lose only 3 points are 6 defeats isn't too bad. The most worrying thing for me is that Reading and QPR are now picking up points every week!
I hate this instant solution culture of changing managers - it's a joke. Every game that Liverpool have lost this season, instantly on the forums and threads people are calling for Rodgers' head. It's ridiculous. As for Houghton - great start to the season but it seems Norwich have eased of the gas a bit and are quickly decelerating. As for yesterday though...five nil, five nil!!! :)
So, City have signed Becchio from Leeds. Good or bad move?
I know the Premier League is different, but he has been so consistant for Leeds for as long as I can remember, and he's already scored 19 goals this season!
Considering that the whole City squad combined haven't scored that many, I cannot complain. Fingers crossed it works out well!
Wow, City needed that win today, and the fashion in which they did it will hopefully inject a lot of confidence in the team. 8 points clear again now, with just 11 games left. It's looking better :)
Even though 7 of the final 9 games are winnable, I still think City are getting relegated. We're such an awful, negative team at the minute. We have the worst form in the league, we're boring everyone to death; we derserve to be releagted.
And with QPR now picking up wins, it's very tight down there. If Wigan win their game in hand, we'll be just 6 points clear...

We have so many good attacking players (Hoolahan, Howson, Becchio, Kamara, Holt, Snodgrass, Johnson, Pilkington), there must be something seriously wrong for us to keep firing blanks.
So, City have signed Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon for £8.5m, arriving in the summer. Going by the reaction in the press, this a good move for City. Is he a record buy?
Anyway, BIG game tomorrow, away at Wigan. If City can win, then I would happily say that they're safe, but a draw would be ok. Lose though, and they could be in big trouble...
So that wasn't good. Now only 4 points from the relegation zone. The messing about needs to stop, it's serious now. We need to start winning ASAP, starting at home to Swansea next week.
the club did go on an unbeaten run for what I think was ten games - bettered only by Barcelona! Would be great if they could find that form again; they're not leaking too many goals really, it's just they are literally not scoring any -S.Bassong was scoring a few at one point
what is the opinion of the Football used in games; the ball moves a lot in the air e.g Gerrard's shot in the Aston Villa game. It seems hard for goalkeepers to predict where a ball can go - seems a goalkeeper has to guess where the ball will swing to
I miss the days of a cabbage wrapped in leather. That was football!
Seriously, the advancements in ball technology is just the way the game has gone. The game has shifted so much from 'the good ol' days'; it's a much faster game and the ball plays a big part in that.
BIG day for City today. Come 5pm I think we'll know how the season is going to finish for Norwich. I think if we can match, or beat Wigan's result, then we're safe.
