As a young lad in the 90s pwh was a lot of fun but now when i look at how it has become it makes me sad.I know that it has changed hands a few times but it still does not compare with the days when the tempest ruled the skies.I fail to see where pwh is going to be in 5 years times. What are your thoughts

Everyone pretty much feels the same as you Team51.
And as good as it is that the new owners have said they're going to invest (on average) £400,000 a year, thats still not enough to take Pleasurewood to the next level.
Unfortunately PWH was left far behind. As the smaller theme parks in England have grown and developed PWH has just stood still. Apart from Wipeout in 2007 absolutely nothing of much note has been installed since The Canonball Express in 1995 - sure we've had some fairground rides come and go but it's nothing compared to say Flamingoland who have areas of the park that would be unrecognisable to 10 years ago.
I'm not going to mention the big theme parks in the UK because PWH doesn't compete with those but it is on the same sort of level as Flamingoland so I think it's fair to compare it to that park.
The major attractions at Pleasurewood Hills are just not that unique and are showing their age, big time. Enigma has serious throughput issues, the Sanke in the Grass barely makes it round the track and Wipeout (although by tfar the best ride at the park) has seats out of use and again throughput is pretty dire.
I really do appreciate the efforts of the park in the last few years and I hope that it continues as the park is looking better than it ever has before. But it really needs a NEW ride or rollercoaster that screams "come back to PWH as we have installed this great new ride which you all will love".
I mean come on SITG (1983) Enigma (1995) (real age 1986) Wipeout (2007) (real age 1986 ish)
There isn't a rollercoaster at the park less than 25 years old for crying out loud!!
Personally I think Flamingoland a league above Pleasurewood. The parks on Pleasurewood's scale are Pleasure Island, Ligh****er Valley and Camelot, and Pleasurewood is the best of them 3.
One thing though, can you remember when the new guy came in last year, he mentioned something about making Pleasurewood more like Flamingoland, and a year later, what do we have? An animal attraction! (If the Nature Trail is good, I will be impressed, and we could well see more animal attractions at the park, giving it a '2 days out in 1' vibe)
Apart from that, I'm not impressed with the stuff.
For the first time for as long as I can remember, I didn't visit Pleasurewood last year, I didn't have the desire to, and I dont really this year either, but as I didn't last year, I have to this year, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the park is, and how it feels, and hopefully I'll then be able to make a real judgement on how Alexis is getting on in my books.
PWH is no way close to LWV - It has no real signature ride - LWV has the ultimate a ride that boasts a world record. LWV is spending lots of money rebuilding its reputation, it has excellent relationships with the fans and coaster community.
PWH to me has none of these qualities. It needs to raise its game!
Even Camelot has Knightmare - a recent but darn good coaster.
I suppose PWH is closest to Pleasureland and i guess PWH has more charm and originality in some aspects!
PWH needs themed areas, new rides - it needs to start to think outside the box and make good investments. It needs to listen to its customers like LWV and find out what they think!
I agree with you there. I have never been but I'm a fan of their Facebook page and they are always updating with pictures of the park, competitions, recent pirate jokes line and updates of their new rides. I know PWH have been using Twitter but they are still nowhere to be seen on FB still!
If you take out the Ultimate, Ligh****er is one of the worst parks in the Country. Though I'll admit it has been getting better over the last year or 2.
I should really back that claim up shouldn't I?lol
Basically, remove the Ultimate, and what else is there? And not just that, there is nothing there that I urge to ride again and again. Everytime I've been, I've always left just after dinner. Which is another thing, the food is horrible, and over priced, just like how Pleasurewood used to be before CdA (I am SO grateful to PWH for the food they offer now!)
Oh, and at least they are trying at Pleasurewood, been very busy on Twitter lately! Keep it up PWH! Lets see more of the improvements for this year! (And I know where you got that pic from now Andy!)
