RE: The Laser Labyrinth

What are peoples thoughts for a full season of this attraction then ? hit or miss ?

This should at least be free while we have all these problems !!!

I do not like pay extra attractions (kinda understand with Go-Karts, petrol costs etc), so i'm not predicting great things for this. On quiet days, a person could pay and be waiting forever for someone else. Its not realy an ideal theme park attraction.

If it were free, then i'd get it a bit more, but as it is - FAIL.

Its another one in a long list of odd things the park have spent money on.

Where else could that money have been spent??

plus the fact that your in it for 10 , 15 minuites game time, so after you've got the gear on, been through the saftey regulations, etc, you wind up being there for half an hour 3/4 of an hour, which could be spent on rides.

it was only 65K wasn't it. I suppose that could of been spent on revamping tired out rides but introducing new attractions are more popular with the public and 'should' bring the crowds.

That kind os money isn't going to get you a major attraction. A Big Apple coaster costs around £50k, but in my opinion, a kiddie coaster like that is more important than this Laser game.

I was told the go karts have no more than 5 litre tanks and this typically will last about 5 hours so it isn't to do with that.  More that staff numbers to run go karts are higher than other rides (most rides are 2 staff members at most, I think go karts runs on 3-4).

yeah, because they need someone to load the go karts, and people to look out and supervise the go karts

So as we start back to back days on the park, what is peoples thoughts on this ? Will it be popular or will it prove to be a red herring come September ?

Its £3 for a single go, or you can purchase a pass for a go on the Lazer Labyrinth, Go-Karts and Water Walkers for £7 (roughly £2.33 each).

Went to Crealy and their P2P attractions were £3 a piece but you could buy a Maxi-Ticket which good for 4 attractions costing £9. Will do a full TR because this park although a very family theme park really does stand out for customer service and value for money.

I haven't been in since the preview. It is however a really nice attraction, it has a good layout and is very decent quality. Every time I looked at it on Sunday there was no queue whatsoever. The problem I suppose is it wouldn't attract to just a couple or single person but a group of friends would find it much more appealing. I'd like to see it promoted across park as a special offer; those poster stands that are about look great so putting an offer in these for a "pass" for LL and Go Karts that saves a few quid would possibly attract more people.

I struggle to see how this costs more to run than, say the Log Flume. Therefore I don't see why it isn't free????? £3 per is way too much for a group/family of 3/4.

Went in on sunday, was a group of 6 of us in there this time, but there is usually quite a few, they all pile in after the show which is the reason I see it, I watch the show then go on the Laser Labrinth with a few people, and all the times I go on, I'm the only one with a free ticket.

Why do you need to pay anyway?
It sounds like a nice addition to the park to be honest a little different and sounds really good fun... but £3 a person is shocking.

yeh £3 seems a lot for the Laser Labrinth - what is it that dictates that price?

Without a doubt more would use the Laser Labrinth if ti was free - or even if the price was reduced to say a £1.

And maybe a a lower price, more people would use it and maybe more money is to be made?

Laser Labyrinth is half price all Summer. That's £1.50 a go. Is this advertised on park Ben? Should improve attendance I would hope.

Clearly it's not been a popular attraction.
And I still don't understand why it's paid? Better off charging for Hobs.. lol

It's advertised on park as each guests enters the park. - Posters will be produced shortly. This is ultimately building up to it becoming a free attraction in 2014 with new SFX/Themeing and marketing push. One of the 'little projects' bookmarked in for next year. :)

That's great news Ben! People will love that and although its already there it will seem like an extra attraction for people as it will be accessible for all!

I'd rather they just closed it and spent the money elsewhere, but that's just my personal opinion....
