When me and matthew went up saturday we had noticed that some of the rides were starting to change for the good as well most of the park was.
WIZZY DIZZY: It is now called FIRE BALL. Plus they have restored it. It now has its background lights back (on that horrible blue board) and signs. It looks really professional. Will keep u updated!

Fireball is the generic name for that ride (well in the US anyway) and it was branded as that when it first arrived at the park. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they have put the Fireball branding back and repaired the lights as they may be looking to sell it on?
Here it is when it first arrived back in 04
Unless they have changed the ride info boards to match then I would assume they are looking to sell it on. It is still known as Wizzy Dizzy on the website.

i ask one of my best friends up there who was actually operating fre ball if these lights were to stay and he sed yes and the park would have some great new changes for the 2011 season. theese should be interesting, everything else he has told me in the past has been correct and i hope this one is tooo, will kepp u updates wen i next speek to him on facebook!
:)
pictures to come. ooooo yeah i will be taking my camera upto the hills on halloween! STITCH IS BACK! WOOOOHHOOOOOOO!
Selling the ride is should only be considerd if they are buying a permanent one but i would rather the money spent on another different ride as fireball is fine as it is.
I realise that the name is pretty poor but to replace it with the generic name of the ride is even worse! Go to any funfair and you'll see Fireball - Pleasurewood Hills is a theme park and not a fun fair and they should be going away from that.
I would tend to agree with you fine sir but surely if they were renaming the ride they would opt for something much more original than Fireball. I still reckon they may be looking to sell it on.
It may not be a case of renaming it as such, people (staff & guests) may still call it Fireball. Add that to the fact that Whizzy Dizzy is a pretty stupid name... it makes sense to change it back (if that is the case).
DATMAN, oh DATMAN, do you have any info on this?
The Fireball has a good reputation amongst the coaster community, and I for one would be gutted to see it leave.
all of the staff call it wizzy? so i dont see why? but surely if your talking about names then everyone calls the 'snake in the grass' the rattlesnake still but there not changing that, im quite good mates with someone on maintainance so i will try find out ;)
yes that os a good point ive noticed this dont know if any of the others have but there appears to be a perfect spot for a ride, in between wipeout and sitg just gunna pint this out to those who may not be aware
It would be awesome if they could mod it into a permanent model! I love Fireball; I just look at the likes of Eagles Claw and Vortex and they just look so much better!
I love it! It's great what can be done with a travelling model.
Maybe at some small park somewhere distant there is a small group of fans who are posting pictures of Timber Falls dreaming of such a retheme of their own Reverchon Travelling Log Flume. :)
Hi reece i totally agree with you as the name fireball is much better then wizzy dizzy. I just wanted to say that i took a picture of fireball last halloween in the evening and i think this is how they are making it look now. please tell me if im wrong.
P.s: sorry about the quality will take some better ones this years event.
We all know the setting was weak anyhow, but within the past 2, maybe 3 weeks i've popped up the park twice (inc. today) and noticed it is NOT reaching full height once. Its not even compensated with a longer ride... about 4 swings each way (from start) and thats your cotton socks at the moment.
I would imagine they are waiting for some sort of part for it, but please, even when its working they don't crank it up to be even half the ride it could be. It would be interesting to know why (i'm not having it makes people sick....) it only runs usually with only one full swing (keeps costs down??) and whats wrong with it at the mo.
I have a funny feeling that we may be saying goodbye to it at the end of the season..... Just why were those trees cut down behind it?
