Q and A for Park Representatives!

I was thinking we could make a thread where questions could be put to people who work/ represent Pleasurewood Hills abit like when Stitch came along and answered a few of our queries...

Okay, I'll put in the first question

1.) Can we expect any new rides/ attractions to cater more for the thrill seeking market in the future? The park caters alot for kids and families but not alot for thrill seekers

Are there any plans of any water based ride?

How can Pleasurewood Hills expand in the next years?

In the medium to long term aspects of the park's development plans, do you feel that there would be one, or several attractions that could increase park attendance from those further afield?

Do you feel that there is potential in several unused areas of the park?

What has possesed you to believe that Thunderstruck is a good ride?

^ Haha, Brilliant.

Also, What has possessed you to remove Mega Drop, Magic Mouse and many other attractions?

Magic Mouse looked awful in my opinion. Getting rid of it for the sake of Wipeout was a sacrifice worth making! aww

I would have to agree with Patrick with that. Although I never rode MM, and I'm sure it was a very fun ride I would prefer the park to install more permanent looking attractions which they have done with Wipeout.

Stich or Datman is there any chance that you would be able to answer some of these questions or perhaps pass them on to a higher authoritory?

I have heard about a woman called "Denise" who is very helpful with questiosn like this- how do you get in contact with her? Is there any chance we could?

Stich- I think I sent you a PM stating the above post but my computer shut down just as I was sending it! no Doh!

The questions that have been asked here cant possibly be answered by me or stitch, you could try emailing denise or terry nunn at the park (email addresses are avail on the pwh website)

1. Why repaint everything, when it's just been done?
2. Are we going to see any new roller coasters in the next couple of years?
3. Are there still plans to purchase some of the golf course to expand the park?
4. Is there a solution for the empty seats on Wipeout?
5. Will we see any thrilling flats in the park, maybe replacing the Thunderstuck, or in the many empty spaces in the park?
6. Do you realise that there is more of a market for thrill seekers than families?
7. Are attempts going to be made to increase the capacity of Enigma?
8. Have you looked into retheming the fairytale ride, as it is notably outdated and unpopular?
9. What has possesed you to believe that Thunderstruck is a good ride? [2]
10. Are there any plans of any water based ride? [2]

Does anybody want to email or phone them? There are people on this site whom they know better and may be more open with. I wouldn't ask about the Thunderstruck question though- it sounds abit rude! (Even if true!)

When you go next week please could you get some photos. Im implementing Joshs rule of sites of specific forum interest and would like to see some shots of Timber Falls please! smile

Perhaps could you also report on whether you saw any of this new painting going on? Perhaps on any of the rides? I'm hoping they repaint Enigma and Wizzy Dizzy. I also heard they repainted Shiver M'Timbers- is this true?

While were on this thread- perhaps you could also someone who works there some of the questions mentioned on this thread? Or would that be too cheeky?! evileye

Thanks- do you think you will be doing a Trip Report?!

No, no the park is open today. There is a special "gunging" event going on in Main Street to raise money for charity! The new manager is the first to get Gunged I think as he officially takes on the role!

Sounds quite fun!

Wipeout did not stall at all.
it stopped on lift hill just outside of station.
this was only a temporary glitch.
would be interested to hear what other rides got stuck while testing too, as the only other rides that was closed are the noraml ones that close when it rains or the winds are high :)

Thanks for that update Datman. To be honest though, Pleasurewood doesn't have ANY rides that need to close due to high winds....

Can you go into detail about the changes around Timber Falls?

Did you notice any new painting?

How many visits have you made?!

afraid they do, health n saftey  strikes again :(

cant operate wavecoaster in strong winds  (its very hard to control inflatable boats when lifting them at top of ride

i have been up there in windy conditions and when u lift the boats you can feel them being pulled out of your hands.

same with chairlift , get some strong gusts of wind and its not very pleasent on there being buffeted around by the wind  :)

Ah yes, Tidal Wave would be a problem. I cant see the chair lifts being a problem though, but whatever, it doesn't matter.
