Well I suppose it's a start! They did say they were going across the whole park so hopefully during term time when the park will be quiet they will get all the main painting, however it beats me as to why they didn't get it all done before hand!
And Patrick, if the tunnel is just a metal Shed, I would have thought they'd cover it in that paper mashe (?) stuff that tunnels are normally made of?
It makes sense in a way, it was that mashe stuff that cover the chicken wire before, but holes appeared everywhere in that, so using a tin shed as a base will ensure no holes in the future!

boats colour, black with red border around top (white inside)
That Polystyrene Foam Was Placed over the wire mesh frame back in the 80s (1984 i think it was ) so its done quite well against the elements over the years :)
Very good to see people taking an interest in the hills and its future!
Ive been popping in every so often to see what everyone is thinking and writing about the hills and I thought I might clear a few things up!
The new tunnel on Snake In The Grass has not yet been fully finished as you may have noticed so do expect something a tad nicer after the easter holidays :)
The new manager Alexis has only been here a couple of months now and has therefore not had the time to implement his plans out on the park.
The Pirate Ship was completely refurbished over the winter so that maybe why it's running better. It's also had a lick of paint.
The Wipeout can't run fully loaded because the track and train are from two different locations and is to do with the difference in weight between the original train and our new train. The slow loading is due to the noise levels and the nearby housing estate which is unfortunately beyond Pleasurewood's control.
I know many people are disappointed to find just the one train on Enigma again this season. Because it's such a rarity even stripping the ride down and taking care of the general maintenance takes time but it has been rumoured to undergo some more work possibly at the end of the season so fingers crossed!
As for a new ride we'll just have to wait and see what the big bosses decide! I can say that everyone at the park has lots of ideas and enthusiasm for improving the place!
It's great to see someone else from Pleasurewood on here. Great news about the tunnel and Pirate Ship. I was sure it felt much better. Very interesting about Wipeout too. What happened to the old Arrow trains that came with the ride from American Adventure? Were they scrapped?
Hopefully Enigma sees some new work too. And a couple of new rides would be most welcome. It's good that people are getting the 'development head' on too.
Thanks Stitch- it's nice to know people from the park look at the site! That's good news about the SING lifthill as reports did say that it looked awful! Also thats the area of the park that needed the most work done to it!
So the new managers plans havn't started yet?! This is good news I suppose and it will be exciting to see what he does in regards to new rides.
Its strange that the old train was scrapped for one that HAS to be run with 8 empty seats. I'd love to know who makes such decisions cos unless the old one was beyond repair it doesn't make a load of sense. It is very frustrating waiting in a queue and seeing the ride go round with the 8 seats not being used.
I really cannot for one moment imagine ANOTHER year without a new ride next year. Or can I?..... Seriously at least one needs to arrive.
I'm hoping from what i've seen on my visit they have had a good easter.

If that is the case, how come Alton Towers replaced the trains on the Corkscrew to the same type as Wipeout's, yet they were able to fully load it?
Same situation for the Big Loop coaster at Heide Park, which now has them trains.
