That would be great coolskin! I remember riding the Eye in the Sky so would love to see some more photos of it. It would be good to see a picture of the view it gave - I swear I have one somewhere.

Would be great to see some old ones of the park; UPLOAD!!
Am I right in thinking that Eye in the Sky was installed near the sea-lion show... What an awful location for an observation tower... lol!

Also does anyone have any photos of the megaspin/megadance when they spent their time at the park. I remember a summers day in 2000/1 when Megaspin opened opposite Magic Mouse. The coaster eventually opened at about 4.30, after spending all day running empty and being tested!

You're right, Eye in the Sky was located where Fireball lives.

And I think I have some pics of Megaspin/Megadance, but they'd be buried in the loft at the moment, should be moving house at the end of the year though ;)

At last they are loaded....  so we have photos from Eye In The Sky which were taken in May 1995....  Does anyone know where it went after it's short life at the park ?

Noel Edmonds and Mr Blobby travelling through the train gates just before what was then the bacon kiosk.... In the background the Enterprise is comeing down from it's full point...  We also have a photo of the then CBTV castle !! This was taken in May 1995 as was Noel and Blobby...

The space net with my mate Adam at the top this was taken in May 1996..

Finally the Voyager which sat where Fireball does now... I found this terryfing as it was so slow and often got stuck did it not in mid air ? It made a loud noise like a fog horn when it was rotating.... I have a picture of Woody going round in it too. The Voyager pics were taken I think in the 1998 season.... Again a very short lived ride where did it go ?

1999 was when I worked there and a damm good fun time we had I remember the MegaDance being new then and that was quite good yet also use to get stuck !!

The Voyager was sent to Ligh****er after PWH, where it lasted just one, maybe two seasons.....

Thanks for uploading them. How dated was Main Street back then?!

I recall going the the park in 1998 when the Voyager appeared... It was possibly the poorest visit i've ever had to the park. On my visit, I received a black and white photocopied sheet of paper instead of a proper park map and went on the shabby looking Supertrooper only to discover when I got off that the "arm" which limited how far the car could swing out was broken and hanging loose, having detached completely at one end! I was also gobsmacked to find that the big new attraction of the year was simply a larger version of a ride that the park already had i.e. the Sky Screamer.

Sounds good Samuel. As long as it's actual memorabilia and that's not just sick euphemism for something else :)

Welcome to the forum btw!

Thats a really interesting collection, is that a VHS tape? What's on that?

I wonder, would you be prepared to scan some of those leaflets so that I can add them to the main site? I've got a good collection that i've collected myself and had donated by others but I think you have a few to fill the gaps...As you can see at www.unofficialpleasurewood.co.uk/pastmaps.htm I'm missing quite a few from the 00's years as well as '98 and '99.

Yeah, wow, what a collection. How did you manage to collect all that? You an old employee voiceoverguy?

I'm very envious of your leaflet collection! I love collecting park maps from wherever I go, and I keep checking on eBay every now and then to find the ones I'm missing in my PWH collection.

Oh, and your avatar is going to give me nightmares! doh

It's tricky to see which ones you have there and which years they relate to, but it certainly looks like you have quite a few there which I don't yet have on the site.

If you do get a chance to scan some they would be a great addition to the leaflets page.

That was great, thanks for taking the time to upload that voiceoverguy! I remember visiting during the Crinkley Bottom TV era, and there was a definite buzz about the place then. I have really strong memories of the waveswinger, it was a hundred times better than the one they have at the park today. I remember the dinosaur walkthrough too, it's a shame they've left that section empty ever since it closed.

If I remember rightly, things began to head south at Pleasurewood Hills after 1996, they started adding some seriously naff new additions from then on like the Super trooper and Canyon Raft and the place started to become quite untidy.

Things are looking up at the park now, for sure, but to me Sky Hooks, Kite Flyer and Thunderstruck are no match for Waveswinger, Troika and Enterprise!
