I think the effort was superb, but not that hard to achieve if that make sense. No reason why something similar couldn't happen now really, Rob and Chrissie with a Heart roadshow.

It would be good to have an event like that to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

There's no money in local radio these days... Probably why they don't shell out on such events anymore xD

No there is not and you could argue that the last of these roadshows was at the peak of local commercial and the park but major TSA's for commercial are still viable - anyway that goes off the topic slightly !!

Rob and Chrissie with a Heart would be good as I think a lot of young people do listen to heart radio, although I think a larger percentage probably switch to Kiss radio or radio 1

It was The Tri-Star, your correct. I've actually got original footage of it at the towers in the archive :)

That's it! I think I knew that somewhere along the way. That's pretty cool, does anyone know where it went it the meantime?

I always thought Thunderstruck and Tide Traveller was the same ride?

It is my friend. Thunderstruck was rethemed to Tide Traveller for the 2012 season. The ride was completely repainted, refurbished, relocated and was removed from it's trailer and installed into the ground with a concrete base. Unfortunately it's been plagued with problems since. When working though it is more forceful than it was before.

Ok guys...I am stuck.....This photo attached ( excuse the quality as the phone it is saved on is old and I can not transfer it over ) It is a picture of me and a mate taken on board a ride at PWH on April 16th 2003..

What the heck is the ride ??? I am 99% sure it was where fireball is now and no its not the mega dance

My aim as I have been saying by season end in Nov is for more old photos to be scanned in

Somewhere in the back of my mind I recall there being a magic carpet ride and an alternative pendulum ride on the fireball site for very short periods of time. (Notice "Extreme" aka Fireball is listed as new in both 2003 and 2004 on the leaflets section of UP).

Since I don't recognise it, I think it has to be a ride I never saw...

As far as I know, I've seen everything but: Octopus, Magic Carpet, Megaspin Rollover and the alternative pendulum ride.

Just thought whatever this ride was it was removed just before fireball arrived....

I am sure it was similar to fireball though... i am hoping despite it being a poor pic that the white seats and restraints will help someone know what it was and called

No mega drop only has been in the one place.

I am sure this ride I am pictured on was similar to fireball..

Well according to old maps, in 2002 Mega dance was in that location and Fireball came in 2003.

Found up my tv recording of the Christian Worship that the then great Anglia Television filmed at the park...the video features footage of the voyager, supertrooper, waltzer, crinkley bottom castle and the crinkley shop outside, the dinosaurs in the lake, ronnie, the caterpillar ride without a roof where wipeout now stands, beam your voice can be seen, sky screamer next to hungry bears, the old walkway from the emporium to hungry bears and much more.....

Pleasurewood Hills The Family Theme Park and Christian Worship has been unearthed and Ben will be guarding this and a copy of the white knuckle tour that I have found too.....

Christian was filmed in 1998

White Knuckle was 2002
