^ Lol, that would be typical of them to get something that rubbish.

Did they really have a Booster there last year?

You sure it was an Orbiter? I remember there being a Jumping Frog there for a couple of seasons, next to the Twister:

RE: Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach

I went to Great Yarmouth on Wednesday, I didn't venture into PB but upon walking past I did notice that the log flume was down with a log stuck at the top of the big lift hill. Hopefully they got it sorted for this incredibly hot weekend.

I rode the Big Dipper - god i had forgotten what a great ride that is! GY PB have such a lot of coaster heritage in that ride and i bet they dont give flying ****!

Ahem, its called Rollercoaster deary.

I rode it last year and was quite surprised at how they've just removed all them internal walls as you crawl round to the lift hill, you can see all the transfer tracks, yet theres not many trains on there anymore :(

I popped over to GTY on Tuesday, was very hot and the PB was healthily busy. Didn't bother riding anything.

The Missus wouldn't let me go to PWH for the day :(

To be honest, I have the same problem. My other half likes theme parks (who doesn't really?), but no where near as much as me.

So have they got the go ahead for that Casino and Hotel complex? There's a big sign on sea front making it look that way....

Fairly sure that sign has been there for quite a while now tbh... I think it's planned to go ahead regardless on whether they get the supercasino or not?

The unused land next to the Pleasure Beach... part of which is currently used as the car park.

Did they not mention something about this on Facebook recently?

I thought this all boiled to down to a few locations being selected for a Casino, but all that was put on hold a few years ago. I cant see the point in them going ahead with this with no Casino. There's already a cinema, and a new full size bowling alley on the sea front.

visited yesterday with the fam and got wristbands, can park is in the arse end of knowhere aint it! saw the poster for the casino etc and yea they defo need to do something with that area, saw them also dismantling the rest of the what was to be port that never was lol...

anyway no changes whatsoever at the park...

they so need to just buy some serious amounts of paint and go crazy with it around the place, the rollercoaster is looking so tired, they painted some of it last year but it really needs doing, rode the yellow one which i never have before, saw the blue and green in the sidings, and the red one out the back in the kinda junk area behind the waltzer, the snails is full of weeds now and needs some tlc, still lovin the 4d cinema allthough i wish theyd rotate films as i think dracula was far better than robin hood, overall though the park was heaving with small ques for pretty much everything and a fair que at the rollercoaster at times which was good to see :)

Rotate the films? Fat chance. How many years did we have to put with that Stargate to Egypt (or whatever it was called) film?

I'm pretty certain they are going to get round all of Rollercoaster with the paint brush, but it obviously takes a while. I dont think the place is run down at all, I just think they need something like 2 half decent coasters, and a proper moden thrill ride. Their rides are either badly dated ride types (Evolution, Miami Wave, Twister, Mulan etc), or just dull (Disk'O, Sky Drop).
