Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach

Yeah the big spinning coaster got a repaint the other year And it's the caterpillars turn this year! They're doing a good job of sprucing things up.

Just a shame this new ride like is likely to be more crap from SBF Visa.

So they're getting quite a decent flat ride...airmaxx 360....we need a few of them flats...I'm wondering if it's a temporary ride for 2019 only

It looks decent, shame it sounds like its only on loan for the season apparently from a showman

Even though it's a travelling ride, it looks nice and modern and I think I would welcome it at PWH.

Even though it's not meant to be that good.

We always look at it at WW yet never ride it. Was just reading the interview with albert on the edp site. He said it's a significant investment for the thrill market...we only need a couple of these and we will have a good line up and a much fuller park

I'm really struggling to picture how they will fit all this into the park, As arnt they loosing land at the bottom end of the park to the Edge development (where GoKarts, Waltzer, Twister was) ? So then meaning Twister and the kiddies rides would have to be moved down to the main area, Along with this new ride and more in the future where will they go? haha Unless they start using land other side of the Log Flume?

Well the airmax is only for the 2019 season and we are now in March and the premier inn and beefeater is still not complete so cant see phase 2 of the edge starting anytime soon

Don't forget that the Go Karts and Mulan have both been up for sale for a while now, if either of them have gone, there's then space for this.

If they haven't sold them, they could probably squeeze it when Evolution used to be. Ever since that left there's always been a bit of space in that area. Bunch the rides up a bit and there'll be room.

The airmax will no longer be arriving for Albert. No news on a replacement

Appears that the Airmax is going to Fantasy Island instead.

Air Maxx has been for a sale for a while, and GYPB leased it whilst it was still for sale, Mellors obviously came in with an offer to buy it before it was sent to Yarmouth.

In a sense I do feel for the park, But then again they should of waited till they had 100% confirmation that they had the ride before announcing it or if they did have the contract made sure it had a claus in it where by if the ride was sold to a new owner they would honour the parks season lease agreement, All seems a bit strange to be honest. Plus on a side note im so gutted about Fantasy island removing Beast for this...

Here we go here’s my trip report😂!
Overall it was a really good day lots of returning staff I’d say more then 50%
The tea cups have had a nice refurbishment with a new lighting package
I was really impressed with The haunted hotel it included lots of things that moved ( a rocking chair, ghosts etc) also had a couple of screen things wich I thought we’re impressive
There’s a new 4D film to watch this season
The Caterpillar roller coaster has had a repaint (track and frames)
No major break downs whilst I was there except wen the bars got stuck on the Twitter but staff got it sorted in a matter of minutes
So overall it was a good day 😃

Was around today, that log flume is on fire.. last time i went people got splashed but today they were getting soaked, even those just watching.. some bloke unaware got a right soaking as he walked past. lol

I noticed the race tracks were fenced off?

and that Jurassic ride looks rubbish, last year lot of the dinos were moving but today only one worked, and it's such a half arsed theme
